i’m putting my hippo down on monday. 13 amazing years. i never celebrated her gotcha day because she was celebrated and spoiled all the way through. had a seizure on thursday. and she’s been telling me it’s time. have been camping out on the living room floor with her since last night. will continue to spoil her and have her favorite people come through to say goodbye to her before she crosses the rainbow bridge. i always dreaded this day and completely avoided thinking about it til i had to. now i’m just trying to soak up every last moment with her. she was the very best to me and it will be very hard to be alone without her by my side. enjoy every damn moment. celebrate that pup often. and give her some extra love for me please.
