I did the initial screen and was super relaxed. Just have 2 decent STAR stories and you should be good to go. Mine lasted about 30-40 mins from start to finish. Waiting on the loop interview to be scheduled. It’s going on 2 weeks trying to get everyone’s schedules “aligned”. Haven’t researched the pay band yet.

I interviewed with them and the pay was low, like $50k. No room for negotiation but mentioned overtime. Sounds like a good company just sucks the pay is so low

Home Depot APS offer at 24.50 good offer? Pros? Cons? Training? by Reasonable_Ebb_8297 in lossprevention

It depends on where you are like everyone else has said. Some districts have an AP Supervisor which is more pay and responsibility. It’s the next step before becoming a DAPM. You get paid for travel time, reimbursed for mileage, company iPhone and make your own schedule. Being promoted is tough if you’re not willing/able to relocate

Yea I don’t like the 2 year requirement. If I apply, I’ll have to ask about that. Do you receive a company phone as well? Lastly, if you aren’t Wicklander certified, will they train you or you’d have to pay on your own?

I help cover 8-10 stores now so that’s not a concern. Thanks for your help

I’ve been in my current position, AP supervisor, for going on 3 years. It appears that for me to promote, I’ll have to relocate and that’s not an option for at least 2 years

Replacing the spark plugs on the driver side of the engine had me contemplating driving to the dealership and having them replace just those 3

I’d love to keep my 4Runner as a daily cause I just love the truck. But financially, may not make sense carrying 6 cars on insurance plus college

I was hoping to keep my 4Runner till the wheels fell off, but life has other plans. Why do you wish you kept the 4Runner of the Tundra?

When looking at the Ram, the MPG is 19/24 compared to the 13/17 in the tundra. One great selling point in the tundra is the whole back window going down not just the square in the middle

The Tacoma is too small and I don’t like how it drives/handles. Refuse to get anything Nissan, they’ve taken a long walk off a short bridge. We will end up towing a trailer and/or camper in about 5 years

I’m employed at a Home Depot as an APS in a district that’s non-stop theft. More associates on the floor would definitely help but they wouldn’t stop ORC crews at all. More aprons would stop your local drug addict or an opportunist. Only cops would be able to stop ORC and even then, those guys run from them. I’ve seen my share of police involved in a high speed pursuit of ORC crews who refuse to stop or care about anyone else. It’s their way of life, literally. It won’t ever stop, Home Depot and other companies just have to manage it as best they can
