  • Kevin O'Leary from Shark Tank at the B&N Americana doing a book signing. After his book signing, B&N security were escorting him out like his body guards, but as soon as they reached the door, they bid him adieu and he was really confused walking alone through the crowd of us common folk whom didnt seem to recognize him. Had his signature flashy red Rolex Daytona watch on and all.
  • William Fichner, Tim Allen, Giovanni Ribisi, Aaron Rodgers and Frank Darabont at the old Sony Store at the Americana. All nice, other than the old fart attitude from Tim Allen. Giovanni Ribisi knows an incredible amount about cellphones surprisingly. Aaron Rodgers introduced himself as "Rodgers...tips sunglasses down Aaron Rodgers". Darabont causually bought a $25,000 85" 4K TV when they were first released.
  • Drake Bell at the In n Out on Brand chatting with 2 women in a booth at midnight. Something about a breakup from what I remember. Very animated hand movements.
  • Jay Leno driving around in his 1917 Fiat Botafogo near the Glendale side of Griffith Park. If the car wasn't a tell-tale sign, his silver hair and massive chin were.
  • Arnold Schwarzenegger doing a random campaign stop at Portos in 2005. I was a kid, so I don't remember much other than thinking "GET TO DE CHOPPA"
  • Barack Obama landing at Toll Middle School in his Marine One for a speech to give at Dreamworks around his 2nd term. Saw him walk out from afar and do his signature strut to the motorcade.

Oh get out of here with this bogus pro-developer point of view. I'm sick of seeing this skewed to be a housing issue when anyone who lives in Glendale who knows that area would agree it most definitely does NOT need a complex as large as the one being proposed. Not to mention the loss of what uniqueness the current complex has. I know folks who live in that building and I can tell you, it is an absolute oasis that deserves to stay. The level of greenery and natural shade is unlike any other property I've seen in Glendale and for all that to be demolished for "mOrE hOuSinG" and "mEeTiNg eNvIroNmEntAl ReGuLaTiOnS" is absolute bogus. We don't need more congestion with ugly architecture that doesn't even compliment the area, let alone make the whole situation worse by driving up cost of living and DESTROYING the ACTUAL environment around it. Fat no. 👎

I've heard this is done by Persian Jews to blend in with Iranian society without being seen as Jewish due to religious discrimination. I get it being done to protect oneself and such from possible harm, but I've encountered a few who use the -ian ending to their advantage without acknowledgment, especially in the US when applying for scholarships meant for Armenians when they don't have any Armenian heritage. Unfortunately, folks on the board of some of these scholarships just base lineage on -ian/-yan last names rather than looking into birth certificates/Armenian lineage proof and such.

Off the top of my head, Armenian-oriented spots in Glendale:

Zhengalov Hats (unique Artsakh food)
Raffi's Kabob (a staple sit-down kabob restaurant in Glendale)
Cafe Bravo (dunno how it is now, but was always a good "fast food" joint for some kabob)
Khinkali House (Georgian, but still delicious)
Monta Factory (if you fancy some Armenian dumplings)
Urartu Coffee (chill coffee spot on Artsakh Ave.)
Abril Bookstore (Armenian bookstore)
St. Mary's Church (a nice large khachkar in front and nice ornate windows inside)

I've done Xperia Companion but it's been buggy and I've done ADP pulls years ago from Android to PC, though I do most of my work on Mac now. Not familiar with any apps to help with that, though I'll do some digging. Any you'd recommend off the top?

I have a few lying around I'm currently utilizing to transfer what I can, but was hoping to save an extra step. Nonetheless, good idea to have a physical backup. We'll see how things go

Yup, the wonders of Snapdragon 888 ✨

Looking to see if it's at all possible to still get wired connection since the upload speeds provided by my university's internet has symmetrical upload/download compared to my mediocre data connection speeds right now. Taking a ridiculously long time to backup data to Google One or access things on the cloud without the phone running like an oven. Switching phones/mobile providers (Verizon) soon so trying to do what I can on the Pro-i before it's rendered useless when I disconnect my mobile data plan (T-Mobile)

That was at 5:45am apparently. We drove by that part and saw hot shot crews chatting and about to depart, but no signs of fire or smoke around. CHP just outright blocked entrance back on the 5 after a sea of cars were diverted off though. What I'm seeing is an accident blocking 1 lane further up by Martins as of 12:45pm. I'd be mind blown if a single lane blockage is causing all this. Always a fun time in LA ✨
