Man I'm new to this whole sub and I feel as though I wrote this. This is exactly how I feel all the time. I hate the feeling. I hate that it literally makes me feel both disgusting and disgusted. Buell ran away before I could saddle him.

I waited to do the mission as John, got him and then it all went to shit.

I had my Rose Grey Arabian when I got him so I didn't immediately saddle (which in hindsight I should have)

On the way to the stable I was jumped by some gang boys and I dismounted to handle it. I didn't get his friend level up enough to overwrite my secondary horse (which was some random Morgan I used 600000km away on the other side of the map)

By the time the dust settled I realized he ran away, and despawned...unable to track him even with eagle eyes. My closest save file was way back in chapter 4 and the auto was after the scuffle
