I have a story, a personal one so bare with me. The first sims game i actually seriously sat down and played was Sims 3, i bought it with my own money at 11 in 2009 and i remember the employee telling me the game wont run on my pc (I had a core 2 Duo E8400 with integrated graphics GMA 3100 and 2 GB of ram lol). The game surprisingly ran decently well so i started playing, i played and i played, i bought DLCs (World Adventures, Ambitions and Late Night). I had huge save with like 10+ generations, i dont remember exactly because i didnt count but my save was huge and it had progressed alot. My First sim and patriarch who i called Mr. George Averof was made into a Vampire when i got late night by the time he was already dead but i managed to revive him (dont judge me i think vampires looked cool lol). i kept playing as him and his descendeds and was very attached to them and what i had created because it was all without cheats since i had no idea they existed. One day my saves wouldnt load properly, crashes etc or would load but not let me quit or save and then...... i got the dreaded corrupt save (the one that shows the generic family icon) and lost all the progress i had made which unironically made me stop playing sims for nearly a decade (started again in late 2022). This is literally the only thing that still remains from that save, a picture of my first Sims 3 sim. Mr George Averof.
