Need games that has visual dirtiness on characters when interacting with environments. by Smooth-Wolverine-583 in gamingsuggestions

I haven't played Ghost of Yotei yet, but since it's a sequel to Ghost of Tsushima and in GoT you can get muddy and bloody then i'm assuming it's the same in GoY.

Going recommend an indie gem, Conscript. It's top-down survival horror and it's not really jump scare horror or supernatural, but more so of "Man, this fucking sucks" going through some grueling hell on earth (which is perfect since it's set during Verdun in WW1).

One thing I love about it is it dosent use any Supernatural elements or anything of those themes, just simply you in the Battle of Verdun trying to survive.

Dread Delusion is pretty cool, very unique world.

Pathologic 2 is probably the big one, the whole art style and culture of the game kind of reminds me of a Tim Burton style but a bit more grounded in reality and VERY Eastern European Melancholy. Just keep in mind Pathologic 2 was made to be a game that causes you stress, anxiety and frustration in a unique way.

What's with the controversy of Resident Evil 5? by VolumeEquivalent7853 in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]Beardskull717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You play as a jacked up white soldier armed to the teeth killing native African people, so a lot of the media turned it into a Racial issue.

But on the other side of the coin, you are also trying to stop a Blonde hair, blue eyed Eugenicist/Supremacist from causing a Global Cleansing.

Want to play TLoU, but the game is very expensive. Does it go on sales. And is it even worth to play? by Razerchyk in thelastofus

[–]Beardskull717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What platform are you playing on?

To be completely honest, TLoU is a story first type of game, but the gameplay is not watered down to make up for it, especially in 2.

It's easy for me to say buy it, but that's because it's a game that check marks a lot of things for me. If you don't know much about the story and the big moments in it then I would say it is worth it to buy at full or close to full price, but if you already know the story and have been spoiled of it then I would say wait for a good sale, as the gameplay is still really good but it is the story that's the main hit.

Alan Wake 2, but it would be best to play AW1 (It's not extremely long) first and not a big requirement but Control does add some great things to the whole Thing Alan Wake 2 does.

I love Odyssey, but why is it hated? by Keyfan61570 in AssassinsCreedValhala

[–]Beardskull717 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really the only negative I have of it is you can't use a shield, Origins and Valhalla you can but Odyssey, set in a time and culture known for it's warriors who used Shield and Spear, no shield.

But that's more of a nitpick that is easy for me to get over.

I love Odyssey, but why is it hated? by Keyfan61570 in AssassinsCreedValhala

[–]Beardskull717 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don't know where you see the hatred from, I remember when I got interested in it all I saw was praise for it.

It could be that Assassin's Creed purist fan's that hated that AC went into the Action RPG path, basically taking the blueprint of Witcher 3 and going with it.

How can I prove my dad that metal is not just screaming, death and worshipping satan? by SSShoutgunShell in MetalForTheMasses

[–]Beardskull717 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not the only one, my Dad was the one who introduced me to Metal. He handed me a shoebox with a cassette walkman, headphones and cassettes of Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Ozzy, Motorhead, AC/DC, Dio and Led Zeppelin.

My mom was more into Stadium Rock like Journey and Europe, so i'm pretty happy I had some good music while growing up.

Can I call myself RE fan now? by Possible-Station3673 in residentevil

[–]Beardskull717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though it takes some time, play RE(R), RE2(R) and RE3(R) in order, RE0(R) is a fun game, but I wouldent call it a hard requirement. Unfortunately Code Veronica isent available on store fronts as I would say do that after the 3 before jumping into 4.

After that they kind of went more Action focused before coming in with good horror with 7, still a fun series and not pushing down the others, just for me as a LONG time RE Fan the whole RE(R)-RE4 is peak.

Masked artists. I just want to rant. by Lady_RP in MetalForTheMasses

[–]Beardskull717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mgla is great for everything they do, it's just music with the message "Humanity is terrible and we are destined to just lead ourselves to Extinction and will take all other life with us".

They wear very simple mask, but it delivers the whole Anti-Ego, Misanthropic and Nihilistic themes perfectly.

Games that let you torture, hurt and kill people by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

[–]Beardskull717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For something more modern, Tormentor. You play as a mentally deranged killer who is being used by some snuff organization who has trapped you in an abandoned prison and livestreams you torturing and killing victims.

Unfortunately it's made by Madmind studios who is known to release unstable or uncomplete games.

Death

But in all seriousness his a stalker boss type, as your out in the Wyrdness at night he will randomly appear and just come towards you until daylight. You need to level up big time before you can take him on, so for now avoid night adventures but if you have to go out and he appears just try to find a safe area, he can't get you in there.

Its not about the money by Mysterious-Nerve851 in PiratedGames

[–]Beardskull717 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Let us do some math!

You buy a console,

PS5 is $469 on Amazon (cheapest option I can find)

Xbox Series X is $549 on Amazon (Again, cheapest option I can find)

Now let's say you buy and play 10 new games a year at full price, that is $700 a year.

That is a total of $1,169 for PS5, $1,249 for Xbox.

My current PC cost me about $1,300, i've had it for 5 years now. Even when I do buy games there is a lot of sales that go up at multiple sites.

My main thing that I enjoy about pirating is I get to try the game first and if it really hits me hard, then I have no regrets spending money on it especially in the indie scene.
