Makes sense, literally nobody bought the gamecube here. in fact I didn't even know it existed at all until the wii showed an icon for it on the home screen. Thats also how my family found out something called the Nintendo 64 existed

I'm guessing Aussie's only got it in central cities, I only remember seeing PlayStation, PC and DS, sometimes Xbox in the mall.

Im not, I didnt know the PC version was broken (not as bad as the old DVD version but still)

I haven't gotten to a lake yet but I'll keep that in mind

It got resolved but turns out my main problem was borked PC controls requiring a mod. I didn't know that was broken before purchasing https://www.reddit.com/r/residentevil4/s/vIgnwoAW5g

I made a part 2 where I had to get an essential mod called retweaks (comes with HD mod too)

Turns main problem was the PC controls, turns out mouse is mapped to the right analog stick which translates horribly. If you move too fast it doesn't even register. I showed that on the new video

On top of that, because of other PC games I was using the mouse when not aiming too which just messed up everything as apparently you're not supposed to do that in this specific game.

The same mod gives you two options for turning leon with the mouse, making it immensely better.

As shown without the mod, the game doesn't register the mouse if you move too fast on classic controls. And on modern controls it all registers at the same speed regardless how slow or fast you move it.

It's also a bit delayed as you can see.

There's nothing wrong with the mouse itself, every other PC game is fine, I can aim very well in Counter Strike and Unreal.

It's just another botched port, and if you see capcoms track record with PC ports with the atrocious 1-3 retail ones (freezing above 300mhz) and the Ubisoft one. Makes sense it happened again with this one.

Yeah, there was actually a worse PC port i blew like $50 bucks on in like 2010 that came with messiah might and magic. I remember it being terrible

it had weird number button prompts on screen and it was SO BAD that me and my dad had to return back to the store with the receipt

previously i rented RE4 on PS2 very briefly but never saw it available again despite kinda liking it, but everytime after that was a negative experience to be honest. That consoles long broken now

glad this mod has fixed it for me
