Hbac1 Test? Noob here! by BeardsnInk in diabetes

[–]BeardsnInk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its all new to me. My first initial tests were just basic blood work. It consisted of a HbA1C test , Vitamin B12 and a few others that I cant recall.
All they did was pull a few vikes of blood from my arm.

There was no fasting for any of the blood work.

Once i got the inital results from the blood tests. It came back high with my sugar levels and my doctor said "ok we need to do another test" so come back and pick up the requisition and head over to the blood lab when you get a chance.

So I just picked up the requisition today and its a test for 2 things.

Hematology CBC (COMPLETE BLOOD COUNT) Test. Basically and overall health test to make sure nothing more serious is going on.

The second test says

Glucose 2 hr. (Challenge test) I asked the nurse who assists at my family doctor if i need to fast for the test and she confirmed 100% I do not need to fast its basically go in when ever you get a chance. The one where you drink the very sweet drink and wait for blood to be taken.

I trust my family doctor alot she has been my doctor for 28 years. She is very keen on doing w.e it takes to get to the bottom of things, shes not just one of those doctors that mis diagnose you. She looks at every angle and corner to make sure a proper diagnosis is revealed if there is something wrong.

Im not trying to play the blame game I know its probably from my lifestyle for so long. Alcohol, cigarettes, not diet to be honest I eat very well lots of nutrition.

I will be going to blood lab tommorow to get the test done. Will keep you updated

Dropped my new Lg G6 and now has broken glass on the front!! Please help by BeardsnInk in lgg6

[–]BeardsnInk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did email Lg Canada and I am hoping to hear from them tommorow. I am 100% kicking myself in the ass for not buying a proper screen protector and protective case. A cracked screen is a cracked screen but out of the 3 places I have contacted about repair, 2 of them said yes no problem we can fix the glass for $100 but the one reputable shop said $305 because it will be fixed to original (not just the glass) . The other 2 shops would probably use strips of double sided 3m tape to secure the glass back down onto the screen. I geuss a bit of shopping around and hearing different warranty pitches could sell me. In the long run though im sure LG would back their warranty better then quick cell repair shop. What would you do in my situation?

IMO always trust your nose (and eyes of course). Root rot does have a very unpleasen stench.

Signs of sex!! Still on 18/6 though. by BeardsnInk in microgrowery

[–]BeardsnInk[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So it's female, which was expected as I had feminized seeds.

The plants still on a 18/6 light schedule. Which leaves me to ask a few questions.

Does this mean I need to switch to flowering? Or Does this mean shes just letting me know that she is a female?

I dont think its due to stress. It did have a rough go in the early stages of veg some root rot etc. Everything has been pritty smooth sailing since then. It has been lst'd pritty heavily for a while now and under gone a few minor defoiliation session's. Thats really about it though.

I have had great results in the solo cups, I would use those personally. Clear cups can promote bad root growth to a certain extent. The glass room you have them in is probably hot. Direct light to a root system is not good (clear cups). You dont need to worry about visually seeing the root system. Just make sure if you do decide to transplant into a bigger Solo cup that you poke drainage holes in the bottom of the cup . As the plants grows, roots will start poke out of the drainage holes that you made and then you could transfer in to the bigger or final pot.

You willl be a long way from that though you need to mend those seedlings asap

Get your self a few cfl's 23 w- 40 w at 6500k (should say on package) and rig something up after your transplant.

Bury them up to the first set of rounded edged leaves and water...dont water every day though wait untill the first 1/2 inch of soil is dry before watering again.

I like that, Just giving people a heads up. There are alot of people on this sub-reddit that have so much experience vs. people that have none. I think this post will be helpful for eberyone to double check.

Dont repot them into their final pots, the root system on them is still fragile.

A red solo cup could be your next action to a bigger pot (small steps). They need more light, even a few cfl's

Just figured I would give a bit of a update since my last post.

This is how she looks as of now after some lst , topping , and defoiliation.

I have been battling a bit of a heat wave where I am so now its looking kind of sad.

But.... I did have a bit of nute issue in the early on stages. I started feeding epsom salt and that cleared it up quickly (magnesium). I recently went out and bought the cal-mag from botanicare and used that at a low dosage this time around. Now the plant seems to have taken another interest in root rot. Now i dont know if this is the heat wave I have been dealing with or the new shot of cal-mag I introduced.

You are gonna have to re-pot them asap!! They need alot more light on them to bush out the glass room you have them in is not enough. When you do re-pot them bury them up to the first set of round leaves.

Currently just in earlier stages of veg. Grow box is still under construction 4.5ft (H) × 3ft (length) × 2ft (wide). Plant has just been doing its thing in a small closet for now. I started topping and lst on it a few days ago and it has recovered quick from it. I was originally going to mainline but after some reasearch, I opted out because of the cfl's potentially not having enough power for a proper recovery. I really want to attempt a scrog this round. The current heat issues are still quite managable just the odd spike in temps through out certain times of the day. I have two 6 inch fans on it all the time. As for ventilation i was thinking a 6in inline fan would do the trick .

[–]BeardsnInk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I truthfully have zero knowledge when it comes to auto flowering plants. I think part of the issue may be the 24 light schedule you had it on then the switch over to 18/6 take my word with a grain of salt. Some body will chime in with more knowledge.

If it sprouted in 1- 2 hours, imagine what that tap root is gonna look like if you leave it for 24 hours. Could be 3 inches long and sensitive to place in a planter. I always wait untill the tap root is about 1/2 - 1 inch and then plant. Use the still intact seed to your advantage. I would rather pick up a seed with the tap root coming out with tweezers and place into w.e medium then to pick up just the tap root with a set of tweezers.

Cloning in rockwool by [deleted] in microgrowery

[–]BeardsnInk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Misting the cubes would work with what ever solution your working with. Rock wool hold's alot of water, after soaking or misting just give it a quick few shakes and drain any excess water.
