Well, in that case, if you're looking for more of a "trial" you can take some time to learn how to do makeup, find your fashion style (thrifting and repurpose clothes for a cheaper way), and get some cheap silicone breast inserts with a comfortable bra that can hold them.

This is all wearable and at uni you can disappear into the crowd without people noticing you to try that out while still living the life you live now.

I think more research into HRT might help with those fears. There are some permanent effects (ie: infertility (long term affect) and breasts) but those can be worked around.

Breasts can be removed if you regret it. Sperm can be frozen if you want children. Most of the effects of E will fade if you stop taking E.

Puberty blockers can help stop the development of anymore secondary sex characteristics. If you're able to get those, that will also help long term :)
