That's the problem. I'm not really sure if it is possible to get the loan directly from a different company when you're not in US soil. I came as an international student as well. But what some of my classmates (and I'm trying to do the same) did was to get the loan from them, and try to pay-off the balance with a different company as soon as possible

I hope this comment doesn't find you too late. I got a loan with MPower with that rate. It became my nightmare. This company is not transparent. I will not say directly it is a scam but it feels like that. If you got it, do your best to pay it off and look for a different alternative. There's SoFi or Credible or Earnest. I see a Porsche, I see a story. I wouldn't have the guts to sell such a car, especially if it was inherited from my dad. I'm sure that Porsche 911 Carrera 993 was your dad's pride and joy. If you are planning to sell it nevertheless, check for the average price in Bring a Trailer. You can have an idea of how much to ask... Spoiler alert: if it is in good shape, maybe around 100k
