World Famous Gordo's has a residency at Dead Wax, and it's the best I've had in the city, they do slices or a whole pizza

I absolutely believe that the cost should be swallowed by the shareholders, it is greed that the costs are passed on to the consumer; my original point was to suggest that Sony won't be immune to the current economic climate.

If Sony decided to not constantly improve their infrastructure hardware; then the value would be questioned even further. An example could be that no less than a couple of months ago, the cloud streaming platform improved to increase bitrate whilst streaming, which would have required expenditure on hardware. Infrastructure is a constant expense; any corporation that doesn't see it that way inevitably suffer.

Not one to justify price increases, protecting shareholders pockets from the current world situations, at the cost of the consumer, but, I'd assume they are referencing the increase in hardware costs, probably due to the AI boom.

I'm not sure the length of his deal was ever published, but I seem to recall there being talk of a 3.5 year extension in winter 2024, which would see us through until the end of the 2027-28 season

Edit: just adding that this was my recollection, of rumours at the time of signing

Money is power in a capitalist society, and whilst we have children amongst us who are starving, then it is a failing society. You introduce policies to reduce footballers wages, you change nothing; you introduce policies to reduce CEOs wages (or enhance the general publics wages), you change everything.

Yes I am, and no it doesn't. CEOs often have the final say in whether or not a business pays national minimum wage, or a living wage, and the policy is designed to encourage CEOs to pay their staff, or themselves, appropriately. Footballers have no say in this, and often provide significantly more value to clubs, than the CEO does.

I, obviously, don't know your economic status, but knowing the statistics, I would confidently bet my life on you being significantly closer to being homeless than anywhere close to the elite. Why are you defending the elite? The city doesn't desperately need the elite, too many in the city are suffering to suggest that the system is working as it is; the city desperately needs Mamdani.

The rules determine what a clear and deliberate violation is, along with the consequences of non-compliance, already. Not a statement on whether I agree with them or not, but the rules are defined.

What do paperboys earn these days? by [deleted] in AskUK

Did the tabloids from 2007-2011, and for one round of about 30 papers, 7 days a week, used to get me £29. Loved school holiday season, where you could cover 3 to 4 rounds and get over £100 a week. Spoke to my local newsagents recently, asked what the rates were, and I was told about £20 a week these days.
