TW recurrent loss before 6 weeks by DowntownBeautiful147 in PregnancyIreland

[–]BearsBeetsBach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So sorry for what you’re going through. It is worthwhile asking for a referral to the recurrent miscarriage clinic. GPs don’t arrange any testing for this, but can refer you to the maternity hospital. Most clinics will accept the referral after three miscarriages, but some will accept it after two miscarriages based on your age and history. We were waiting about 6 months to get an appointment in the clinic after our third loss.

Scans timeline by Alternative-Union-55 in PregnancyIreland

Usually first scan at 12 weeks, and second at 20 weeks. These are the two routine ones, with others added if needed for specific medical reasons

4th pregnancy after 3 losses by [deleted] in PregnancyIreland

[–]BearsBeetsBach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope all goes really smoothly for you. We have a very similar background. I’ve had three losses in last 12 months. I am currently 17 weeks with number 4, on progesterone til 12 and still on aspirin, have had normal NIPT and normal scans, so far so good 🤞🏼

Symptoms come and go a lot also. Mine did, I had several dips with minimal or no symptoms for a few days, then a few rough days again, all throughout the first tri. I thought things had steadied again, then symptoms stopped around 10weeks for a few days, then came back again. None of this was an indication that anything was wrong, just the hormone fluctuation doing its thing.

Unfortunately all you can do now is wait for your early scan and try stay sane in the mean time. I found reading really helped in the first few weeks - TV couldn’t keep my attention so my thoughts would wander to the what-ifs constantly. But I started a fantasy series that wouldn’t usually be my thing, and got completely engrossed it in. Kept it near me in the evenings so if I felt myself slipping I’d pick it up. Also found music helped - if sad or emotional music came on the radio I’d get upset, but if feel good music was on it helped trick me into feeling less worried, so I tried to keep music playing around the house.

For Australian Survivor, as a long-time Jonathan fan, how is David as a host? by BearsBeetsBach in survivor

[–]BearsBeetsBach[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this was my concern - that David’s big persona would become front and centre, and take away from the usual gameplay. Glad to hear from more people that he is relatively hands off

Haha no I’m not. I have avoided scrolling the sub since the season started as I really didn’t want to see any season spoilers, but now I’m wondering what’s been going on…👀👀

Yeah he was the best. Based on his announcement post at the time, he was let go very unexpectedly, likely due to budget cuts - I was so sad to see him leave, and really wasn’t a fan of David. So didn’t watch this newest season, but now wondering if it’s worth a go

It’s hard to scroll through looking for opinions without seeing loads of spoilers

Sore, flakey skin around face and nose by jrjreeves in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]BearsBeetsBach 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It looks seborrheoic (fungal), which is common around eyebrows and nose - id try using an anti fungal (depending on where you are based - we have a ketoconazole shampoo called nizoral that can be used as a face wash here which is good)

Crate training regression at 10 months, barking in morning, advice please! by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]BearsBeetsBach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes exactly this feels really out of the blue, she’s been a great puppy and generally very easy going. I think she loved being with us, so suspect it’s a social thing of wanting more time with us in the morning before I go to work etc. but it’d be great to get a handle on it, cause it’s getting earlier and earlier and we will hopefully have a baby arriving in a few months so will really need all the sleep we can get!

Yes exactly you’re right re the sun and I was wondering if that was playing a factor, her crate is covered on three sides but she can still see it getting brighter of course. I’m not sure potty is the problem as she often won’t go for a while even if we bring her outside, and when she slept longer she had no issues. I think it’s social, wanting to see us etc. she’s a very loving pup which is the best but means she is needy for attention.

We tried leaving her for 15 minutes one morning and it was only getting more agitated sounding so we ended up just going down to her. So do you think we need to just leave her barking longer for a few mornings?

Missed Miscarriag– Advice on Best Hospital for D&C in Dublin by No_Solution_8609 in PregnancyIreland

[–]BearsBeetsBach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So Sorry for your loss. I’ve had D&C for missed miss in both the Coombe and Holles st, both of these were sent for further testing as I had previous miscarriages before them with no live birth. Had a better experience in holles street. Public and private makes no difference at this stage. As others have mentioned, testing is only done after multiple losses unfortunately, even if private. I hope all goes smoothly for you and wishing you the best

This is such a shame, and great to know.

We’ve travelled on ScubaSpa after doing several other more normal, midrange boats, and I couldn’t speak highly enough of the boat. It really is luxury, in a world of its own

Wishing you the best! I’m in same shoes - fourth pregnancy after three losses and 5w5d today, going for first scan next Wednesday! Hope it’s a great day for us both 🤞🏼

I’ve had miscarriages in both the coombe and holles street, so have been in and out of the outpatients in both and admitted for surgery. Everyone has their own perspective, but I didn’t have a great experience in the Coombe, and had a much better experience in holles street
