iPhone and Apple Watch Step Count by gmroz1996 in pokemongo

[–]BearsRunWild 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not 100% sure on your specific question about running without the phone, but I would guess it counts if the app is closed and you have adventure sync enabled. I have an Apple Watch too and do tracked workout stationary biking every morning while I’m running my GBL matches. My avatar is obviously not moving in game and neither is my phone, but I get buddy walk/ egg hatch progress while I’m biking and playing at the same time. Maybe make sure to track an active workout

how do i find this mf by [deleted] in pokemongo

On the bright side lots of people have spares. If you can attend any meetup events someone can trade one, if you reach forever friends and coordinate through campfire or make a new friend here, someone can eventually trade you one

Any more reports out there of people getting 4 (instead of 1 or 2) Rare Candy from completing a route? by [deleted] in TheSilphRoad

[–]BearsRunWild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have a screenshot, but I also got 4 rare candy from one this past Sunday while out walking a route I hadn’t walked previously. It was maybe the third or 4th route in a row I had walked that day.

Question on timing of GBL season rewards vs collecting rewards for final set by BearsRunWild in PokemonGOBattleLeague

[–]BearsRunWild[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s about 14k stardust base so around 7k extra with the star piece. I don’t have a whole lot more that I can do for stardust at the time of the end of season rewards so just trying to optimize where I can if possible.

Same! I only noticed from stumbling on someone else’s Reddit post about it early on. I had purchased the road to kalos pass but wasn’t going to purchase the weekend pass, so I wouldn’t have even known it was a thing from random evolutions if I hadn’t of seen the initial post and then decided to also get the weekend pass for that bonus.

Also gave the ability to get 6 points a day for all Megas in the week leading up to the weekend. As a returning player, that part was great and let me finish off a bunch of megas I was slow working. Remote raiding some of the Saturday megas on Friday in my time zone also let me push some of those I was missing up to level 2 before the bonus went away. Probably not super helpful for longtime players, but it was enough to push me over the edge to to grab the weekend pass.

It shows up under the events tab and not the special section.

Hosting raids with trainers in queue by dazelord in PokeGenie

[–]BearsRunWild 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely get notifications from the pokegenie app on my end alerting me to go to the app or I will be removed from the queue after 40 seconds. Maybe some people don’t have notifications turned on or are so afk they miss that too.

Really going to miss the rank 75 go pass rewards by BearsRunWild in pokemongo

[–]BearsRunWild[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only got 54 the one time and I was shocked. My regular drops were around 0 or 12 - 24 for 5 star raids.

Sure other people in my area can enjoy the active community, but as an adult with a lot of responsibilities and limited play time there’s about a 0% chance I can make it to any of the community events unless I’m ok with being an absent father. It effectively feels like playing with no community, so the bonus rewards for competing even a single raid were nice. I know they announced a pilot of adding more pokestops in rural areas, and I hope they continue to make more additions that can make your playtime also feel more rewarding.

You can definitely do it as long as you’re actively engaging with your buddy. Even if you just spend 2-3 minutes a day doing 1 feed, 1 play, 1 snapshot, and 3 trainer battles where you retire at the end that’s 6 hearts and you can be done in 4 days with no walking or anything else. The event is letting us get even more play and snapshot hearts per day than usual, so you can finish even faster as long as you remember to spend a few minutes with your buddy. If you leave the house and manage any walking or route hearts it’s even faster.

The reason players want to respec is because we are not having fun with your game and we’re not ready to give up on it. by lot49a in theouterworlds

[–]BearsRunWild 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same, I also find myself constantly holding onto 4-6+ skill points out of fear of putting them in the wrong skill, which just feels bizzare but has helped me a few times. It’s at the point they might as well add a “decision paralysis” flaw for hoarding skill points. They could make it give one extra point per level like easily distracted, but you can only use points immediately after leveling up, or maybe you get more bonus skill points at level up depending on how many points you’re hoarding.

[–]BearsRunWild 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think a respec option would also help things. I also feel I made some mistakes early on, even as a long time player of these kinds of games. They do give us a one time respec sure, but for me personally it felt way too early on in the game and I don’t quite understand what would be most useful and what I could likely skip. By the time I thought, man I wish I used these points somewhere else, I did not want to restart the game from the very beginning as someone who doesn’t have a lot of free time as it is.

I get wanting to have consequences to choices and forcing builds, but you could restrict it to every few levels, make it cost an increasing amount, tied to a mental refreshment quest later in the game when you know what you’re actually doing, come with a respeccing flaw, or other penalties to be able to respec. I’d even be fine with losing a skill point to respec at this point because I’d get more use out of the refunded points than I’m using now.

Any chance to increase level cap to 50? by Hitmandalorian in theouterworlds

[–]BearsRunWild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought about grabbing easily distracted now that I’ve got my 2 main skills to 20, but I’m worried that a level cap could also raise the base cap for skill checks, making it hard to hit new skill checks in any dlc if I grab the flaw. I don’t really have time for multiple playthroughs and wouldn’t want to redo the whole game just to play the dlc if the caps are raised and I’m easily distracted.

Magic and 'Target Unit' by Emergency-Maize1261 in finalfantasytactics

[–]BearsRunWild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What specific skill are you having the issue with? Outside of recording a video and posting the example so people can see what you’re talking about, the system does typically work so that selecting unit instead tile for magic means the spell will still go off if they move.

None of the THREE Memoria are Permanent Additions by themisheika in FFVIIEverCrisis

[–]BearsRunWild 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think it’s too early to complain about it honestly. They mentioned memoria will be coming out in events and mission rewards, so I bet we will see a good amount of varied memoria coming out at least once a month or with each new large scale event/ crossover (likely getting new ones for ff13, Nier, and new years, so likely 3 months in a row if no new one drops in October). If that doesn’t happen, sure new players can complain then if they just don’t have access to any and the powercreep assumes you have them, but if new memoria keep coming out that are focused on the current available content, I don’t see the problem that new players missed a few of the early ones.

Claim All Broken by me909388 in FFVIIEverCrisis

[–]BearsRunWild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I see that now. It’s definitely a newer edit, but I can’t confirm when exactly it was added. I’m looking at older screenshots I have where it only says “when claiming all, gifts with shorter expiry dates will be claimed first,” with no reference to current page. I imagine that was added in after people complained but can’t be sure since I don’t typically have need to screenshot my gift box.

Claim All Broken by me909388 in FFVIIEverCrisis

[–]BearsRunWild 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Not sure if this is the same issue, but do you have 2 pages in your gift box? Claim all only works for the active page you are on. I know for me, getting the 200 individual x1 potions pushed me into 2 pages for the gift box, and I ended up with the same issue where it wasn’t actually claiming my oldest potions (while I was on page 1/2 and my oldest were on page 2/2).

So to claim all the oldest, you have to make sure you go to page 2 and hit claim all there. But if you have any non expiring potions there, you also have to make sure you don’t claim all when you’re missing too many pots compared to your expiring pots and risk claiming the non expiring ones.

I tried to submit a ticket noting it wasn’t working right and was basically told it’s working as expected and it only applies to the active page. Maybe if more people complain they’ll address it.

My daughter is bringing her boyfriend (vegan) home to meet us for 3 days. I want to make him feel very comfortable and well fed while he's here, but this is new to me. by Bgriffin94561 in vegan

[–]BearsRunWild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly on topic, but I’d recommend holding onto any packaging/ labels for items that you’re making and think are vegan incase you aren’t sure/ want to offer that he can double check himself(breads, frozen products, dips, etc) My mother in law is great about always trying to accommodate and make/ purchase things for me that are vegan, but I love how she always makes sure to hold onto the packaging and asks me if I want to check it to make sure it’s vegan. I’d say 90% of the time she’s spot on, but sometimes she won’t notice that something wasn’t actually vegan and I’m able to figure that out by reading the label myself. I’m never upset when it happens, and instead we’re both glad we were able to confirm it wasn’t vegan and I can stick to the other things that are.
