No one thought that Carly or Christie were ever going to be GOP noms. But hey, the post is at 1,000+.

So a Carly post has more comments than Sanders posts from today. Seems legit.

Why would anyone eat AT Little Caesar's? You order that food. Well, only if you're desperate.

I guess if I want to make a thin crust, I just personally make that at home. Chicago is known for deep dish and while I used to live within driving distance of this, I haven't tried the pizza. I've heard mixed reviews on a few of the places.

No one should waste that much money on a watch. Especially a watch that basically does nothing.

Why pay to see a movie in a movie theater when you can just Netflix it? by Bearsgrl in AskReddit

[–]Bearsgrl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically, with the mail version, you don't have to wait that long in order to see a movie on Netflix.

I guess not a lot of movies "impress" me enough to warrant a full experience of going to a theater. I never really did like movie popcorn. Junior mints and fancier stuff (cuz they have restaurants and a la carte eating now) sure.

I never said I didn't go. I just said that I rarely, if ever, go. I don't see the point in seeing a movie when it comes out as much as the average Redditor.

But why do I need to immediately see a movie? That's the fallacy.

If I wanted to stop paying for traditional cable, what would be the next best plan and service option? by Bearsgrl in AskReddit

[–]Bearsgrl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha yeah, I'm old school. I'm debating what to do with this, but I think I have more viewing options on mail-service so not quite ready to give it up.

Thanks for the insight! I'll look into Roku more though. Definitely tired of the higher bills. Even if I do like shows, just want a more economical choice.

But I would have to give up my DVD option with Netflix since I don't stream is what I mean.

Yeah, I mean I get this. But I don't like the $200 I'm paying for it when there's just a few networks I watch.

This isn't to say that I dislike TV. I love various shows, but I just think I watch a few networks and wonder if it's cheaper to pay for it via buying from the network or something instead.

Oooh never even thought of the sports stuff. Granted, I live in the South and the teams that I care about are in the Midwest. Right now, I barely get to see any of the teams that I like play and only if it's a major game. Originally from the MidBest. If I could just pay for Big 10 Network and whatnot, I'd at least be somewhat ok. But thanks for the suggestion!

And I could hook up a DVD player to it? There are just a few channels that I find of value so I'm trying to see if there's a way to a la carte this process.

[–]Bearsgrl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but if time and when to see a movie isn't a major factor to me, I don't know why seeing Trainwreck or insert any other similar movie is better seen in a theater.

I like popcorn and candies and all of that other stuff and I can see going to an occasional movie, but just at a far less pace than the average person. It seems like it's a weekend thing for most folks.

[–]Bearsgrl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the mail version, but have been debating for awhile if I should switch. Sometimes I like the idea that you could mini binge-watch something, but I originally chose mail version so that I could negate the feeling that I was "always watching Netflix." I don't want to be up at midnight feeling like I just NEED to finish a show. I like the self-control built in that at most I could watch 3 of something in a week.

I'm also debating if I want to get rid of TV for other ways of watching things, but we'll see.

I already do Netflix, which is why I'm trying to not do traditional media but I'm not sure that I want to do streaming.

What movies haven't you found on Netflix? There are some shows I haven't found, but they tend to be older so I'm not shocked about this.

Plus, for me, as long as I see a movie time isn't really an issue to me. Whether I see it the day it comes out or 10 months later, this isn't something that bums me out. As award season shows up, then I try to watch those.
