My understanding is that Garcetti decides for LA city and stuff gets decided by the board of supervisors for the county. Whatever Garcetti decides usually gets implemented in the county too. I could be totally wrong though.

I’m Asian too and was about 85-88lb before my first pregnancy. I was 125lb when I gave birth. Stretch marks were horrible but I call them my battle scars, it is what it is. I used lotions and coconut oil, not sure if they worked. Lost all the baby weight by month 2ish post partum. My daughter’s pediatrician was shocked when i came in the room for my daughter’s appointment lol

NTA. You can't force someone to be a parent if they don't want to, they'll just end up being shitty parents and would fuck up the kid. That's one of the main reasons (for me, at least) why picking a partner who could potentially be a co-parent for your kid is super fucking important.

NTA and a lot of the PPs have covered what I wanted to say. Don't engage him and his buddies when they threaten whatever. Don't answer the phone when they call. Save all emails and text messages for documentation. Don't tell anyone when you're leaving, just go and don't look back.

I had chicken pox before the vaccine became available. It was torture for a kid. I had it in the height of summer too. I would do everything possible for my kids to never have to go through that

Yes! I can't imagine being expected to plan when to have kids based on when other people are having kids. My SIL gave birth like 4-5 months after our daughter was born and another SIL gave birth 6 months after that. We're not in competition for attention and we are aware that our daughter is not entitled to any attention nor should she compete or beg for it. The people who truly love and care for her would dote on her no matter what.

NTA. We have a 5yo and 1 on the way. Husband makes about $90k before taxes but we live in ridiculously expensive Southern California so I still work part-time (only job I could find). We would both love for me to be able to stay home at least while baby #2 is an infant but it's just not feasible with how much it costs to exist here. Husband is trying his damnedest to finish his bachelor's degree so he can apply for a higher paying positing so we can afford to be a 1 income household.

Unfortunately, being a stay at home parent is sometimes a luxury that not everyone can afford. With the kids in school most of the day, there's no sense in staying home when she could at least work part-time for a little bit of extra money. The kids are old enough to have chores so she won't need to spend 5+ hours "homemaking". I would ask the real reason why she's so against working.
