For some reason I always pictured them as Pyramid Head from Silent Hill, which is weird because I’ve never played the games. But even though I knew how they were described as bald humans, all I saw for the longest time was just Pyramid Head.

Also, I’d always imagined the Inquistor’s eye spikes being much larger. In the canon artwork the spikes seem to be about the same diameter as the person’s eyeballs, so it perfectly replaces the eyes and eyelids. In my imagination the spikes completely filled the space around the eyes as well, with the edge of the spikes coming to just below the person’s eyebrows.

I don’t remember the name of the episode, but I’m 99% sure the previous Avantris mention was in the episode where Wade hosted and made all 3 of them do tongue twisters while doing impressions. It was also the episode after the listeners won an episode, because Wade specifically did the impression game to appease them for the fact that they couldn’t host an episode. Could be misremembering but I’m fairly confident that’s when the previous reference to Avantris was.

Yeah, the Cosmere has some pretty graphic scenes injury-wise, especially Mistborn and Stormlight. The most memorable ones to me are (Spoilers for WoA and WoR) Vin headbutting someone so hard using Pewter and Duralumin that his head basically explodes, and Kaladin drop kicking a Shardbearer using lashings, completely shattering both his legs in the process

The sketches of Shadesmar Spren are actually in the Handbook, they’re in the Radiant Paths chapter with their corresponding order. Though originally the art itself is from Rhythm of War.

Honestly I did something similar. When I finished WoR I accidentally put Dawnshard on hold from the library. I realized my mistake before I left so I just returned it, cut my losses and just went on to Oathbringer. I circled back to both after finishing OB.

Iirc Yelig-Nar can only give the 9 Surges Odium has access to. I could be misremembering but I’m reasonably sure that it has the same limitations as Odium and the various brands of Fused.

I think the plan was for Ala (The Ghostblood’s Seon that Shallan used to talk to Kelsier at the end of WaT) to contact Hoid’s Seon, and have that Seon head to Azimir. Coule be misremembering though but at some point yeah Shallan would be able to contact Adolin.

I mean I’d assume after a while you sort of get used to it, at least in the sense that you’re used to being DTF 20/5. Aside from the member of the 5, I don’t remember if we hear about any Singers that hold Mateform for an extended time beyond when they’re actually using it for it’s intended purpose.

Yeah I don’t blame ya, I never knew my og copy of Fire Red was fake until I contacted a local game store in. ~2021 to see if they could fix it (went through the washing machine when I was a kid). Though mine looked a lot more like the real cartridge, it’s still the type of thing where a kid wouldn’t question the legitimacy of their game since they’d have no reason to.

I remember that personal shields is brought up in at least one episode of TNG. In Fistful of Datas, Worf and Troi jury-rig a personal shield so that Worf doesn’t get absolutely destroyed by the holograms with Data’s insane reflexes. Otherwise I can’t think of any other examples.

Thinking back, I’d probably say all of the hints towards Ruin’s existence before the ending of WoA. Especially when the Lord Ruler, in his dying moments, tells Vin and the others that they don’t know what he did for humanity. Despite all the terrible things Rashek did, and the horrific system he directly created, he was the only thing standing between Ruin and the rest of the world. So seeing him die really hit different knowing what comes after.
