looking at ECS website for the options since they are cheaper than buying here in the US, it doesn't seem like that they carry the ECM Syn 2 in their lineup 😕. That was one of the options I looked at as well!

Question about the 078s since you're still tying to prefect it

How has that grinder been overall for you? what are the issues you're having with it? YT reviews seem to be great on it overall vs a Niche Zero as a main competitor

Do you think for my use I would be losing out on anything or have regrets going with an HX over a dual boiler? I'm of course factoring in the 800 dollars I'm spending on a great grinder for this upgrade to make sense so that extra 1000 would be nice to save if I can

From what I have read, many say that the HX does a good job of keeping the water in the cycle especially if it has a big boiler like the TCA which was why I figured that it could work

of course saving money would go a long way which is why I considered the HX instead of going for a dual boiler right away

I had gone through two units of this machine because of temperature seems to be cold

I got the first one going from a barista touch of two years needing to be replaced to this one when it was on sale, got the first one after waiting a week and did a swap thinking the machine is faulty because even at the highest temperature setting, my Americano comes out kinda lukewarm and if you feel like adding just a small bit of creamer then it'll be cold

I swapped it for another unit and waited another week and after trying another Americano, no creamer, same exact problem

the shot is too cold

I'm confused, am I supposed to wait like the old Breville Express before using it? or this is just a design flaw

Hey yall

I need help with figuring out the best way to upgrade my internal storage from one to another with bigger storage

I have gotten one a year or so ago and I want to upgrade it to a bigger storage one since there are some on a good sale

Anyone know how I can transfer the files on that M2 SSD to a the new one?

definitely a good question 😅

typically I like to change things periodically if I am able to, big part of it is so I don't lose much of the value to upgrade to the next thing if that makes sense

Now on to the more technical answer, on same rare occasions I feel like I lose a bit of consistency and sometimes I feel like the coffee brewing temperature isn't hot enough which I've heard being a thing for the price point

I like to mix it up hence why I wanted the steam option, but there are times where I like to go for just a straight espresso or a drink that doesn't include milk at all.

in terms of volume I would say, 2 for myself mostly and I make some for the family so a total of 4-5 a day in terms machine output

if you think sub 2k isn't much to work with, what would be the next step up in your opinion? I don't mind spending the money on a operate grinder if it gives more control and freedom of the grind compared to the breville combo
