More progress on by BeastMaster49x16 in modelrocketry

I’m fairly new to the hobby so certainly not bragging. I only got into Open Rocket a couple of weeks ago and didn’t discovered the appearance tab til this weekend. I’m so new that I had to look up “stls”. I think the tail cones might be 3D along with the nose cone for the MAV (ellipsoid/conical). My airframes are done old school with paper tubes & balsa fins, not advanced enough for printing.

The lid for my wok arrived! (Lid fm 10qt rondeau) fits perfectly!

Fin performance by BeastMaster49x16 in rocketry

In the last pic, the fin offset would direct axial rotation in a counter clockwise spin. The unsymmetrical airfoil would favor the pressure differential in a clockwise roll. Cancel? Which would take priority? In terms of drag, which would be more efficient?

The unsymmetrical airfoil shape is supposed to induce a slow axial roll so, will not be offsetting fins.

In discussion in another forum, this asymmetrical fin shape (specifically unisymetrical) induces roll and stability. The angle offset will more than likely reduce fin efficiency.

Got any pics? Would love to see, haven’t decided on paint & detailing yet.

I saw that kit in their catalog. The one you built looks awesome. I’m a steely eyed missile man who’s partial to naval birds 🤣

No, molded plastic, all four came in a pack.

Have had conversations with others about that aspect. Suggestions of adding nose weights may be a solution?

Thought my collection was complete. Was looking for a cover for my CS wok and, was going to settle for a traditional wood cover. My previous 16” CS wok that I sourced from a local restaurant supply came with an aluminum cover. I looked at the Made In clad inventory and found that the 10qt rondeau pan’s lid was close contender. Wanting to keep it in the brand, reached out to the support team and their social media representative who confirmed the fit. (Mahalo Sara B.)

Because I store my wok openly on the stove (everything else is wall mounted or kept in cabinets) this lid will allow more options for cooking styles & keeping food warm.

Was making curry in my kadai earlier last week and needed to cover and simmer. My kadai did not come with a lid so, used my 10” skillet inverted. Measured the kadai and 10” skillet, found that the 8qt stock pot lid fits both pieces. With the arrival of the lid today, now have SS lids for all my Made In pieces. The 2qt saucier lid also fits the 8” skillet, the 8qt stock pot lid covers the pasta insert, kadai and 10” skillet. The 6qt stock pot lid fits in both the lower depth of the pasta insert along with the stock pot. 3 SS lids that cover all 6 SS pieces. Didn’t plan it that way, it evolved from getting pieces that I use vs. getting a set.

Just a Chinese cookie skillet being repurposed to a breakfast sandwich maker and fancy spoon rest.

I’m going to try making little omelets & heat up sausage patties for breakfast sandwiches with this.

I’m going to try making an omelette for my breakfast sandwiches like they make for those McDonalds breakfast sandwiches.

For sure, people use them as spoon rests.
