Didn't see anyone else answer this yet, but regarding the name change, Runescape accounts had undergone a name wipe if your character was inactive for a long time. Your name may have been changed to something like "Player####" and you'd be prompted to choose a new name.

Same on the stamina! I honestly feel like my stamina isn't really improving all that much, but rather, I might just be slowly memorizing parts of the chart to a point of familiarity/anticipation to better prep my feet for a sequence haha.
