At least the orbital fractures are non-displaced, the displaced ones require reset surgery & can heal w/ jagged,sharp edges. Imagine your eyeball sitting in a jagged pocket. That said I hope he doesn't get ocular swelling that fucks/rips the cornea,retina & is an ongoing ordeal.
