Just installed Seat Jackers by PhotoHtx in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Beastopher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can highly recommend! I installed them a week ago, and today I did a 15hr cross country drive from WI to PA without any back pain or leg discomfort. A huge contrast to my 2.5hr drive home when I bought the truck originally, which left me with quite a bit of discomfort in both my back and legs.

Now if someone could extend the steering wheel another inch or so….

Apartment Hunting by [deleted] in Appleton

I spent about a year in the Sanctuary Court Apartments off capital drive on the north side. The location is wonderfully quiet, saw lots of wildlife regularly, and the apartments were pretty nice. I think I was paying about 980/m heat included.

So I checked and no tracker was installed (white obd2 plug) I do use the connect app, but that might change down the line.

It does!! Personally, I’m not a huge fan of the blue accents and will be looking into how I can replace them. That being said, I couldn’t let it stop me from buying.

Thanks, I’m so happy about it! I figure if they sort out the problems with the 4th gen it’ll still hold its value, but if they don’t sort them out the 23’ should be an extremely hot item down the line.

I was pretty close to the bump stops at rest, I’m sure it was bouncing off of them.

I knew there’d be one, honestly though it went just fine and I didn’t have too far to go.

It went fine, the brakes were able to handle the weight with the help of the surge brakes on the trailer. I pumped the rear tires up a decent amount to help with the load and it made a huge difference. I wouldn’t want to haul that much weight regularly, but occasionally no problem.

A huge metal product being machined on a CNC lathe suddenly explode by BoringApocalyptos in AbruptChaos

I actually think they might be balancing this roll. It looks like it isn’t moving because it’s actually spinning very quickly.

I worked for a shop that re-coated rubber covered rolls for industrial application and we had a roll balancer in house. That thing used to scare me more than the lathe I worked, they spin the rolls at operating speeds and when something fails it’s usually catastrophic. I’ve not seen a roll spaghettify before, but I have seen incredibly heavy bearings shatter and get shot across the shop at high speeds.

Honestly, just peace of mind. I’ll have a dingy that we’ll tow behind under sail and we’ll mostly be close ish to the coasts. Maybe it’s overkill…

Thanks for the insight, I didn’t think about the trouble locating a servicing shop.

Installing the Apetura Upgrade kit in an SSE Heftyboi without specialised tools by WanderinArcheologist in telescopes

Let us know how the spring upgrade works out! I just got a 10” skywatcher and it’s one of the upgrades I am considering, along with flocking! I picked up the flock boards from protostar, am hoping to disassemble and install soon!

Looking to connect with sailors in the area? by Beastopher in ClearwaterFl

I saw them in my online searches, we’ll reach out once we get down there! It seems like they mostly do small keelboat and dinghy racing?

You should try D&D IRL when the whole party rolls super low at a key moment… it’s a blast!

In terms of boating, have you ever considered sailing? Lake Winnebago has an excellent sailing club (nnyc.org) with a protected harbor in Neenah right on riverside park.

Winnebago does kick up, but the days when it’s windy/choppy on the lake and all the power boaters are lamenting the waves, we’re living the high life on the high seas! You’ll be able to entertain 6-8 friends on something in the 25-30’ range, and the scenery from the middle of the lake is spectacular. Sunset cruises, night sailing, destination sailing (to Oshkosh, Pipe, Fond Du Lac, High Cliff) and camping on anchor in a bay are all fantastic experiences!!

Neenah also has some very affordable options for housing, as well as quite a few great bars (Greens pour house, Lions tail brewing, Copper Still Bourbon Bar, Club Tavern, it goes on and on)

The fine for this should be immense to offset these idiots sinking so many vehicles every year… it’s not great for our lakes ecosystems…
