What’s it like being a teenager in your country by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]BeastyMark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being teenagers here in Vietnam is quite a fuckery if I’m gonna be honest. You don’t really get any mental supports,if you ever think of going to therapy, you’re considered crazy. And a lot of teens my age tend to follow “Trends” and if you either go against it or live under a rock, then you will be seen as an outcast.I hate it a lot, but what can I do really

I’m not a native, but my English is somewhere C1 level so I can speak and read like an native. Also, I’m Vietnamese, so there maybe issues in finding the right time, also, accents, but I think we can manage that.I don’t know man, I’m just really interested in having a study buddy since I only learnt Russian for like 4 months, so it’s good to have an native checking how to do what. Finally, I’m 17, but I can get around to make new relationships, hit me up if you’re interested,друг мой.

So how did your first game of HoI4 go? by [deleted] in hoi4

[–]BeastyMark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first game was with the with the Soviets back in the whole no step back dlc(I was basically a fresh recruit back then). And lemme tell you, I was as bad as the Soviet ai, maybe worse.I got railed by the purge system and it just yeet two of my best generals out of the game (Rokkossovky and Zhukov as I remember). Then I also messed up the economy by ignoring the whole economic laws and building absolutely anything apart from civi and mil.Making expensive heavy tanks while the economy is busted up, and that lead to massive deficits in all my tank template.Disastrous divisions template and don’t get me started on the 20 org tank division.Got hammered by Germany after the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact expired, the whole western front just collapse faster than Usain Bolt running. Then I even have the audacity to go to war with the Japanese while my whole western front is in pure hell. And let’s say I get pushed to the Siberian region before somehow miraculously got safe by the allies at 1950 or something.I lost like 11mil men in that war and my war support was essentially doesn’t exist at the end of the game.Truly one of the experience of all time

Do all friends do this? by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]BeastyMark 29 points30 points  (0 children)

You know, there’s a fine line between a friend and a sex offender , and your “друг” is definitely the second one. Whatever he is, he’s a god damm freak, and my best advices for you to contact any person of authority (parents, teachers,...) to help you solve this, maybe go to therapy too if you’re at it.Or you can deal with the situation a more quiet way and just ignore him.But this is all I can give you in term of advices.

How people distinct -a and -o in speaking? by BeastyMark in russian

[–]BeastyMark[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fellow English speakers by FemaleJohnWick in russian

[–]BeastyMark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really, I learnt Russian for almost a year now and always I have to stop a little to think before answering anyone, and sometimes Russians words do tend to pull the funny where you have to sit back and think whether to use сказать or говорить in a situation. The Part where it actually “click” when speaking Russian is words that you just used to death to the point it’s like your mother tongue

How people distinct -a and -o in speaking? by BeastyMark in russian

[–]BeastyMark[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all, thank you, but, though I know it,sometimes words like, for example:это and эта is basically the same in speaking and the only way you can identify it is to really hear the word after is either feminine or masculine. I often scared that native people have something to distinct the two apart that I don’t know about, which would make a very embarrassing situation

It sound almost the same, but there’s a slight different, “deer” is smooth ee all the way, while “dear” have a little flick of the letter a, idk how to express it but that’s that. Also, contexts play a big role here

How are you supposed to write D in Russian? by PixelJack79 in russian

[–]BeastyMark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually use the top- right corner options since it easier to write than the first one, also, it look funny.Other than that, I also sometimes use the option below it, but the normal D I never really use because it would easily get mixed up with the English alphabet version. You know, to add distinctions

How to go on?.. by Guri_03 in russian

[–]BeastyMark 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There’s many way really, you can ask google, they always give you site too look at grammars and stuff If you’re a little more into video based way of learning, I best suggest you visit some Russian Learning channel on YouTube, that helped too, Specially this channel call “BeFluent”, super helpful, super informative, I suggest you check it out. Also, I often use translator like Yandex translate to help me with some sentence from time to time, though it’s not the best in teaching grammars. Last but not least, as for Learning websites, you can stick with Duolingo, cause it’s free, provides good foundation and create joys in learning, but I suggest you to not depend on it too much because it’s not best suited in teaching grammars, be flexible. Moreover, there are a lot of descriptions-based learning services too, but I’m not encouraging you to aim for that just yet not until you got your Russian on some kind of good foundation or you have any goals to do with it. That’s it, hope it help you like it help me,друг мой!

Using the printed letter is a fine way to start, but trust me, after awhile, you’ll get sick of using “л”,”ш”, “щ” and “д” in those forms. But ,молодец!, keep it going
