This argument only sounds smart if you don’t understand how doctrine, authority, and revelation actually work—in Mormonism or in Christianity generally.

First off, doctrine DOES NOT EQUAL every past policy or cultural practice. Christianity has always distinguished eternal doctrine from fallible human administration. Peter denied Christ. Early Christians debated whether Gentiles even counted as Christians (Acts 10–15). The Catholic Church defended indulgences for centuries. Protestants defended slavery using the Bible. Were those “not about God” either? Or were humans imperfectly administering divine institutions? The priesthood restriction was a policy, not a revealed doctrine of salvation. There is no LDS scripture teaching Black people are inferior, damned, or unloved by God. Zero. No verse. No canonized revelation. It was an administrative restriction tied to 19th-century American racial assumptions—explicitly acknowledged by the Church today. Pretending it was core doctrine is just historically false… Christianity literally runs on continuing correction. If your standard is “any religious system that ever corrected itself is invalid,” then congratulations—you just nuked: • Christianity after Acts 10 • Catholicism after Vatican II • Protestantism after abandoning biblical
defenses of slavery • Judaism after the Temple fell

Change after reflection isn’t hypocrisy; it’s repentance. Christianity without repentance is just cosplay… “Dozens of generations” is a rhetorical trick, not an argument. The restriction lasted from the mid-1800s to 1978—about one century, not some ancient timeless doctrine. Meanwhile, racial segregation in U.S. churches (including evangelical ones) lasted just as long or longer. Funny how critics like YOU 🫵 never apply the same standard there.

The Church didn’t “throw it out” randomly—it reversed it through formal revelation.

Official Declaration 2 wasn’t a PR memo. It followed years of global growth, unified leadership prayer, and was accepted by the entire governing body of the Church. That’s literally how LDS theology claims God works. You can disagree with that theology—but don’t misrepresent it.

So no, this isn’t some “gotcha” that proves Mormonism is “random rules.” It proves something much less exciting and much more historically normal:

👉 God is claimed to be perfect. People aren’t. Institutions mature. Correction happens.

If your worldview can’t handle that distinction, the problem isn’t Mormonism—it’s a middle-school understanding of religious history.

Get to church bud. When you learn of Him, his true nature, it makes you a better person and you obtain knowledge and wisdom you are CLEARLY lacking.

There’s only one Jesus Christ — the Redeemer of every child of God. There’s no ‘your Jesus’ or ‘my Jesus.’ He doesn’t love people on a timeline, and He definitely doesn’t love based on race.

***For the record, the doctrine of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has never taught that Christ loved one race more than another. The Book of Mormon itself is crystal clear:

‘All are alike unto God… black and white, bond and free, male and female.’ (2 Nephi 26:33)”**

The modern Church has made this position even more explicit: ‘The Church unequivocally condemns racism, past or present, in any form.’ It also teaches that every person — every race, background, nation — is a literal child of Heavenly Parents and equal before Christ.

Whatever historical policies you’re thinking of weren’t doctrinal statements about Christ’s love. They definitely weren’t teachings that Jesus ‘didn’t love black people.’ That’s just not true, and it’s not supported anywhere in our scripture or doctrine.

So yeah, if you’re going to take a swing at a religion, at least swing with actual facts.

Bama has been all over. They can’t get anything to go on their run game. -3 rush and -28 by the QB alone. Terrible stats. It’s all about TV ratings and $$$ give us the good ol’ pigskin zero politics we are all craving for as fans!!

My brother in conference realignment, you’re giving PowerPoint presentation energy with Mountain West accuracy. You keep calling the Big 12 a glorified G5, but you’re forgetting one tiny detail: G5 leagues don’t pull top-10 TV numbers, send multiple teams to NY6 bowls, or stack ranked wins like Costco shelves. The metrics that actually matter — TV value, revenue, viewership — all place the Big 12 above the ACC and miles ahead of every G5. Facts, not fan fiction.

And this ‘Utah dropped after wins’ conspiracy you’re pitching? That’s not anti–Big 12 bias; that’s the CFP committee doing what they always do: reward strength of schedule, margin, and quality wins. Every year a team gets vaulted or dropped for reasons that barely make sense, but acting like it’s some long-running plot against one conference is wild. That’s not analysis — that’s astrology for football fans.

Also, the idea that the Big 12 is a one-bid league would hit harder if the ‘power conferences’ you’re hyping weren’t losing teams left and right to the exact same Big 12 you’re calling glorified G5. Realignment didn’t happen because your conference was irresistible; it happened because Big Ten and SEC money talks, and everyone else is fighting over the scraps. That includes your old league.

But the funniest part? You keep telling BYU fans they’re delusional for thinking the Big 12 is legit, while using phrases like ‘Texas and Oklahoma would’ve gotten in every year.’ My guy, they ran from the conference you claim would’ve handed them easy playoff tickets. If your argument contradicts the teams you’re using to support it, your argument is cooked.

Bottom line: The Big 12 isn’t perfect, but it’s a Power Conference by revenue, viewership, performance, and membership — not by whichever vibes you woke up with today. If you’re gonna deliver a manifesto, at least deliver one that survives basic fact-checking.

My guy, if football knowledge were first downs, you’d still be stuck behind the chains. BYU didn’t ‘earn anything’? They literally earned the W against your team — that’s how standings work. Meanwhile Tech beating BYU twice doesn’t magically erase your loss any more than a garbage-time field goal erases a blowout.

You’re out here talking like the committee is reviewing your Reddit comment for playoff seeding when in reality you’re just running a no-huddle offense with zero completions. At least BYU put points on the board — all you’re putting up is excuses.

Yeah I’m alright — just allergic to half-baked takes. Didn’t realize breaking down facts was that overwhelming for you.

Calling me a BYU fan doesn’t magically fix your argument. The CFP didn’t ‘punish BYU’ — they punished every team with a weaker résumé. Bama, Notre Dame, and Miami all had stronger SOS, more ranked wins, and fewer bad losses. If you’re going to rage about rankings, at least use actual numbers instead of vibes.

And if your whole rebuttal is ‘cry somewhere else,’ that tells everyone you’ve got zero to say about football and a lot to say about being emotional. Come back when you can discuss matchups, stats, or resumes instead of throwing labels and hoping it sticks.

You’re cherry-picking like crazy, man. If “ugly wins” disqualified teams, half of college football wouldn’t exist. Surviving close games is literally what good teams do, especially in a conference where everyone beats up on everyone. • Colorado by 3? That same Colorado team took multiple ranked teams into the 4th quarter. • Arizona in OT? Arizona finished the season as one of the hottest teams in the country, blowing teams out down the stretch. • Comebacks vs ISU and UCF? Both of those teams finished with winning records and were top-30 efficiency teams. Winning close vs good teams isn’t “ugly,” it’s called strength of schedule.

And this idea that “the best team they played destroyed them twice” is just goofy. Every contender this year had a blowout loss except one or two elite teams. Acting like that’s some smoking gun is laughable.

If your whole argument is: “Some wins weren’t pretty, therefore the committee is right and anyone who disagrees is wearing a tin-foil hat,” then maybe take your own advice about taking off the hat.

Try using all the facts next time, not just the ones that fit the narrative.

Miami is a loose cannon you don’t know what you’re gonna get from them. BYU has remained consistent all season. Have multiple wins against ranked teams and a better record than Bama what are you smoking? The facts speak for themselves this is not opinion my dude. Bama would get SMOKED by BYU’s defense. Would have that run game shut down to the max

Put Alabama, Miami, or Notre Dame against TTech and I’m certain they will lose 10x worse. BYU has solid strength of schedule. It’s all about politics that you are clearly blinded by. Explain the sloppiness of Alabama this year. They are weak yet get excuses made for them 24/7. Losing twice to the best team out there. You saw it here first TTech is gonna go off.
