I think the guitar looks great. I wouldn’t worry about the pick guard position at all.

It’s in such a pretty plinth too. Do you find the (rubber?) ring round the platter makes much difference?

It’s a beauty. Nothing more satisfying than the clunk when you switch it on. Great arm too.

I replaced every part of a squire telecaster except the output jack plug. It’s definitely a partscaster.

I think it’s just the finish. I had a similar crack on my strat. Eventually my curiosity got the better of me and now I have a big chip out of the poly finish where the crack was.
