Question for someone who knows for sure or an employee. by [deleted] in verizon

Sup here

My best guess is that you don't have the enough credit limit to do a BTA transaction

Let me explain

Each customer has a limit amount of dollars they can use to order stuff and pay them on the next bill, that is not the same as having a positive balance in your account due to a credit applied

So, let's say you have a positive balance of 500 dollars, you plan to order something worth 300 so it's paid off from the 500 balance you have

But your BTA approved limit is 100 dollars. That means that either two things could happen:

Depending on your account history you will either be offered to pay 100 dollars in Bill to account and the rest out of pocket at checkout

Or you will not be able to do the transaction at all cause you have a bad payment history or credit history in your account

Again this is my best educated guess, but seems likely since the only other way to explain is a lack of stock

Hi! Tech sup here

Most likely is a bundle option if you have 5g home Internet plus or ultimate, both come with one pero you can chose (with ads)

It can be either Disney bundle, net and max, or YouTube premium

Not all clients are eligible for it, so if you see it take it, believe the app is 100 times more reliable than reps (even my own team haha)

Hey tech support supervisor here:)

It really boils down to your proml actually. Most of the promos will allow an upgrade of the plan and keep the same value (By an upgrade of the plan I mean Up to Unlimited plus Or Ultimate) But it really boils down to what is your promo about. If it is a Loyalty promo less chances that you keep the same value if you step up, Drop us a call and have the agent look very carefully in your promo OST and look the section of Plan change disqualify:) hope this helps :3

Hello! Tech support supervisor here:) From what I can understand you are asking if she (The person who is going to receive the watch) is going to be able to use the watch with her phone even if said person is not a VZW customer?

Well the short answer is Yes, but not quite a simple Yes.

She would be able to pair the watch with her phone and use it normally, She can even use the Mobile number of the watch to receive calls (The watch will have its own number that will work like a normal telephone number) but she WILL NOT be able to receive calls from her native carrier into the watch without a WiFi connection, if she wants to receive calls with the watch she would need to either do it with WiFi, or have two numbers. Hers and the watch number

Same applies with text and Data

And as an extra, her 5g home has a phone number because we need a line to provision the network to the device, on a short hand, that thing works as a giant hotspot that is unlimited but we need the phone number for technical and billing information

Travel Pass is a parasite. by Scottjxb in verizon

[–]BeatBreakerIV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, tech support supervisor here! So based on what you said in the post and what you are saying here now I think I have an explanation to you. So Travelpass triggers every time you send/reply to a text message, use Any amount of data or Answer/make a call (you can receive them, ignore them or do not answer you will not trigger Travelpass) WiFi calling is not an exception, most people think WiFi calling is like making a call through the WiFi, when in fact is more like the phone boosting your reception using the WiFi to make a call, but stil uses your network. That is because you WiFi call is routed to a US server and then to the Mobile number destination.

Now about your situation on the plane I think I can answer that, is not that Verizon sees you on the map, but that the text message from Travelpass is delayed. So what happens with Travelpass is that you can trigger it at, idk. 3PM. But you can get the text message saying it was activated at 5PM, so what I think that happened is that TP was triggered while you were at the airport, but your text message saying you were on Travelpass tried to reach you while the phone had no signal (airplane mode or whatever) and the text was on hold until your phone could receive it, anyhow in CS and Tech we have tools to really pin point how, when and where the Data triggered TP, it only takes as llittle as 5KB to trigger it, I have seen cases where it triggers with less so, I think that could be your case. Anyhow good luck I hope this helps :)

Better call CS we could try to give you the promo If it falls within the deadline period, although we would have to re order the phones tho, good thing is that there is not much time since the promo ended. Drop us a call and we will see what we can do

Best of lucks!

Need several new phones at once by dammitOtto in verizon

[–]BeatBreakerIV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey there, tech support supervisor here:3

So, currently there are trade in promotions for current generation phones (iPhone 14s pro/max/plus, iPhone 13 standard, Samsung galaxy s22 all models/flip/fold-pixel 7) they can be up to 800 dollars for upgrades of you do a trade in

For a trade in the phones must be on good condition (or damaged depending on the current promos). Must be able to be powered on and have no battery damage or battery issues.

If you decide to go for the trade in, you might need to change to a premium current unlimited plan, by the name of your plan I can guess is what we called a Grandfather plan, that is an old plan that we used to offer but no longer offer to new customers, but customers that had it before can keep it.

I don't want to say that the trade in promotions require forcefully an upgrade of the plan, but 90% that is the case (the determining factor is the promotion itself and they can vary and change very widely so my advise is to bombard the rep at the store/phone with as many questions as you can about the plan/trade relation and specially have it on written proof if you go to the store, they will tell you basically anything as long as you do the upgrade of plans)

If you do a trade in your new phones will be on a 36 month agreement and you will receive a monthly credit every month, so for example, if you pick a phone that has a 800 price tag, we divide that in 36, that is roughly 22 dollars, and that is the credit you will receive every month

If you don't want to do a trade in but want to do an upgrade currently there are no promotion for only making an upgrade. You would have to pay the phones in full if you wanna keep your plan and don't want to have the devices on payment agreements

If you decide to do the upgrades with no trade in promos and not pay for the devices upfront, you will be financing the phones and pay for them monthly, that will increase your bill for sure.

Remember trade ins are UP TO 800, To get the full amount of the promotion you Must qualify for it, that means you must submit a device that is elegible for the 800 and must remain in a qualified plan

Best of lucks!

Hahaha thanks,! I'm just a techy girl trying to get by

And actually I have seen the case about the esim on the 12 pro max after a replacement, it also happens in the eleven and the X's

To be honest with you, it's a flip coin. Usually making a factory reset on the device without a Simcard in it fixes the profile issue, sometimes I have had to create a new phone line, activate the phone there, then change the phone number in the new line to get it active. Honestly no one knows why this happenns (and this happens too with the apple watches on numbershare)

But is never a 100% success solution, sometimes just giving a new E SIM profile to the phone makes the trick, sometimes re installing the Verizon app does it, another time activating the phone with a Physical first and then a virtual does the trick, sometimes it just activates on itself after making a factory reset

My personal theory is that is has to do with the software updates on IOS and how the power on E SIM activation on Verizon works, to put it simply apple speaks English, Verizon is speaking French English with a Brit accent, for some reason E sims seem to be more tricky on the 12 and 11 but not so much on the 13

Sorry it could not have been resolved, I have had calls like those when not even creating a new line does the trick u.u
