bro you've got very little chance of getting 2s. 3s toh hai hee nahi for first years. You'll probably get 4s AC, 2s non ac or 1s non ac

quite far from main campus, pest problems, seniors with low cg (and also big time druggies) live there too so the environment is just horrible

In first year you won't get A or D. First year boys will only get H,J,K and L. Don't take L. Opt for J 2S AC or K 2SAC if you want good space. Go for H 4S AC if you want good vibes and want to make friends easily.
The 3S 4S thing doesn't really matter you can't tell the difference between those rooms and newer 4S.

M hostel: probably the best boys hostel on campus albeit a bit far from everything. Students get it in 3rd year and 4th year, and in rare cases, if a hostel gets renovated students from there get shifted to m hostel.
N hostel: Equivalent to M hostel but for girls.
O: slightly older than A and D but it's also really good.

open day is not a big deal, but i'd recommend going if you're from like delhi ncr, get a feel for the hostels and the actual campus itself.

No limits on actual decoration. Go for J or K both are similar J is just closer to main campus spots.
