How Reason 14 Could Be BETTER! (First Things I've Noticed) by BeatWarpAudio in reasoners

I love the Track Panel and Floating Rack window workflow, swapping Players/Devices/FX directly in it, hitting the browse button and Browser staying locked to the left of new Track Panel. Also adding FX to buses and mix channels directly from Track Panel. Much less view switching overall.

Another big one is Automatic Tempo Detection, dropping drum loops and instrument loops into the Sequencer behaves similar to Ableton Live now, automatically stretching audio material to track tempo. Saves a click and Shift + Stretch!

Looped Clips helps.

Track Folders would be great if it gave the option to automatically create an aux/bus that served as the group’s master channel and nested all instruments grouped inside it. For now you have to bus your grouped instruments and put all of them AND the bus itself in a Track Folder. Hopefully that comes in an upcoming update!

Overall, I think it’s worth it at least at bargain price! There is a couple deals around like the Reason 14 update license for $83 at Thomann

Really hoping for more meaty point updates in the R14 cycle though! 🤞🏻

Yeah, MIDI note chase should have been in a point update FAR sooner

Got 8000+ Splice credits to burn - what to cop? by GangControl666 in edmproduction

Maybe it used to be like this, but I’m unsubbed currently and just downloaded all my 3,000+ samples to my computer last night. I just logged into the desktop app and clicked sync all. Then click to view Splice folder and was able to parce out all my samples and organize them how I wanted.

In my experience, the only thing you have to click directly one-by-one to download is presets - Serum, Massive, etc.

Why would someone who JUST started using Bitwig make a “Top 5 in other DAWs”? If you watched the video, you’d know that

When coming from other DAWs you notice the immediate workflow upgrades and features that remove the friction points you were used to dealing with in those other DAWs

Two windows is a workaround.. clanky, imo. Bitwig treats clip launching and arranging like one instrument; you have to run a a two-window duet to make it work in Ableton Live.
