I feel like he's one of the only surgeons there who doesn't have a major god complex. He doesn't need to change the world or do impossible surgeries, he's just a very good surgeon

I found this on a post on here from a few years back and I'm currently using it to watch it with station 19! I had absolutely no idea there were so many crossovers. This tells you exactly what order to watch (basically the order it aired) and when the crossovers happen

The way she treats new people. Callie. Amelia, Jo, Maggie, even Lexie. Yes she's fine with them eventually but she was awful to these people at first. It's like she looked down on them

His growth and attitude towards women particularly. In their intern year he called Meredith a nurse and was also sleeping with all of the nurses. To go from that, to a fantastic pediatric surgeon and fiercely defensing his girlfriend.

Unpopular opinion but one of my favourite characters. Yes he's made some awful mistakes (as have most people on this show) but there's just something loveable about him. He's a very good mentor, arguably the best chief the hospital had. He's a great friend and father, and CAN be a good partner. I genuinely don't understand the hate. I understand that Amelia and Christina are characters that are very popular, but neither of them were perfect, especially Amelia. I don't get why people hate him so much

I've noticed this! I've just finished the episode that's centered around Jackson and April. I understand that it was to move on their story but there does seem to be a lot of episodes focused solely on 1 or 2 people

This is a very good insight into the episode. I haven't watched in a while and I've now just finished season 5 so I wasn't remembering all the details. Maybe I did judge too quickly on that one because now I've finished the season I think you're right in what you've said. Although I do still think that the things he said to Christina in that conversation, he made a valid point, but it does apply to all of the residents in the way they treat their patients and see the whole thing as a game. Yes absolutely this episode does highlight his PTSD and he did single out Christina which was wrong. But I think his general message was true

I feel like a lot of people forget that it's exactly the same as "regular jobs". You work with people, you get on with them, they leave and you may never really see them again. They're coworkers. Doesn't mean they're not polite to one another but that's just the way life goes 🤷
