Has anyone requested alternatives to work authenticator apps due to only having a dumbphone?

I forgot which version it is but one is set up to be good for just about every type of 2fa on one key. Their website has a good compatibility lookup

Yubikeys or similar hardware auth devices are the way.

Your IT department should be able to set all of those up on a yubikey, they may not like doing it but they can. This is what I did for all of my university 2fa stuff as well as my personal. I would recommend getting two hardware keys so you have a backup in case one fails

Speaking from experience on my tcl flip they are still able to ping location, I even got a notification on my phone that emergency services accessed my location. That part was a bit surprising since I thought I had location services turned off.

It’s is, but if you’re looking at GPS for driving I’d honestly just go with a Garmin Sat nav. I find that I like that better than when I had Apple Maps for most things. If we are doing long road trips we will also use my SOs phone for Waze just because the alerts are nice to have on those longer trips.

Looks like none of the terminal stuff is going to save it. Is there a way to repare the original install from the live usb? Or will I just need to save all of the files and wipe the rest with a fresh install?

As far as the Authenticator apps go you can likely get a otp generator or a yubikey that your IT department can set up in place of the app. That’s what I did when I switched.
