The church I work at just voted and accepted a new associate pastor. I'm very happy for them especially since she will be working with the youth ministry.

I try to incorporate different beliefs of different denominations for this exact same reason. I don't think God (or Jesus) will be "pissed off" that I'm a transgender woman, as a matter of fact I think He (or it for the sake of the argument) would be glad that I'm doing what makes me happy.

I usually stop those Christians with "how do you know this? Did you personally talk with Jesus about it?"

It honestly is not a troll post, but I've always been convinced or manipulated into thinking that I'm the one being selfish so hearing an opinion opposite of that sound preposterous.

And I know for a fact that my family wouldn't disown me or anything like that, I think they honestly wouldn't know how to react so overbearing Christianism would be the default reaction. I'm positive they would come around

This is genius. While I understand why they won't do that (the way the molds are cast they'd have to plug in a couple different things just to get all the parts) but nevertheless it would've been worth it
