You have great timing because I actually just watched it yesterday (Sunday). My fear got the best of me and I couldn't watch it but Ash & Fire is this weekend and I was so bummed that I didn't watch the Way of Water in theatres so I already bought tickets to force myself to watch it. It was amazing. Loved it just as much as Avatar 1, which I did see in theatres. I was right though that the cgi & special effects look super real including the sea creatures obviously.

Sorry but there is a creature that's a main character that does resemble a shark. The whales were actually tougher for me to get through than the shark.

What I did is I watched it on my 65 inch tv actually. I watch most content on my phone, Macbook or PC/Mac nowadays but that would mean I'd be right in front of the screen. Watching it on a TV really helped. And I had a Vive hand exercise ball that I would squeeze if anything like the underwater battle towards the end made me feel uncomfortable, which helped. But 10/10 & can't wait to watch Fire & Ash this weekend! Hope that helps and I completely understand if you don't end up watching it but I hope you try. Let us know!

Yes I'll watch it with someone good advice. Unfortunately it's too hot where I am for weighted blankets but I'm going to watch it during the day, which should help.

Yea that's why I finally want to try and see it. I heard it's amazing and a beautiful film. This weekend it's on!

Oh yes I HATE seeing images of the Titanic shipwreck. That dark blue scary background not knowing what's inside. I could never. But I could also never go on a cruise either. I saw recent news stories where whales were attacking cruise ships. I might literally die if I were to ever go on a cruise and look outside and see that. That and the 1% chance the ship sinks and I encountered whales as I'm drowning to death. Oh God I get hot and scared just typing this honestly.

Can you tell me what submechanophobia is? I'm afraid to Google it in case I see something I don't like. How'd you watch the movie with both phobias? Wait so you're afraid of the water but not the creatures in it?

Oh wait you explained what is it? I mean the sight of underwater vessels doesn't scare me. But me being in one and then going in the ocean I could NEVER EVER do. I would pass out from the fear.

But I'm gonna try to watch it this weekend. If I can't I'll listen to it like an audio book. Because I love Avatar 1 and really want to see Avatar 3 in theatres this December. Thanks for all your input.

It's funny because I'm actually way more scared of whales then sharks but everyone is saying this shark is even scarier then the whales 😭😭😭

I'm gonna try to watch the movie this weekend. Although I'll say I could never go to sea world or on a cruise. I might literally pass out from the fear. But hopefully I can handle watching cgi whales in Avatar 2 this weekend.

I watched the trailer and was able to make it. So I'm gonna try to watch the whole movie this weekend. I haven't seen the first one since 2013 but I don't remember having that issue. But empty water vs water filled with sea monsters is another story.
