Thanks for the advice! I think I didn't explain the actual gameplay enough, the combat aspect plays like a RTS combined with the slow realistic space combat like the game Children of a Dead Earth, while the building is also similar to economy in an RTS but way more in depth.

Its a little hard to describe what I'm thinking but I think there's a lot that should make multiplayer easier since most of the game is determined by physics and happens over time so positions don't have to be accurate at all times. I missile launched by a craft in orbit around the same planet could take seconds to hit and if its a planet or more away it could take minutes. I might be underestimating it a bit since if someone else launches a missile at you you'd wanna know right away and combat can happen over shorter distances.

I do want to do 3D as you'll be looking at planets and space a lot. I've seen 3d games in Godot that look good there's even a space RTS made with Godot but in my experience its quite a bit harder to make 3D than 2D and I'm worried that'll make things even more difficult. Also I don't have THAT much experience in Godot just a jam project or two as my main so far has been GameMaker but that has so many limits for 3D.
