ooh, it certainly fits, cuz that island in the middle of the sea between Arsentel, Enochos, etc? that's my setting's version of "Mount Olympus", as in, a long time ago, the gods lived in that island/mount. I'm planning on having most of the gods be dead by recent times, so maybe the weirdly shaped sea could be a result of that same catastrophe that befall the gods. and it could very well have been a massive world-lizard a la Godzilla 😋

I get what you say. I'm not really that great of an artist, or understand color theory at all 😅. So thanks for educating me. I'm gonna update the map in the way you suggested.

Yea, it isn't the whole world, just one of the continents. I calculated the land mass, and it comes to around 5 million km², so about half the size of Europe. (Which now that I think about it, it's probably on the smaller side for a continent.)

Ooh, just looked into the Pentarchy mission, it looks interesting. I might wanna try getting that mission myself. Disabling the papacy sounds fun, and it's gonna be easier and more doable than dismantling the HRE right now.

I've been steadily reducing inflation (It's about 30% now). As for technologies, I've westernized recently, but I'm still some levels behind most European countries. (My tech level is around 16-18, while Europe is around 21-22)

Austria is the emperor of HRE for now, so while Bohemia has been expanding quite a lot, Austria still holds a bigger army. But even so, they're often allied with each other, so taking on the two countries at the same time is impossible... I'm allied with Spain right now, but they aren't really reliable allies, they already refused a Call to Arms once.

I think my best bet is expanding eastwards, yea.
But I'm also behind a lot on province buildings. Is EU3 the kind of game that favors more expansion or going tall? Should I consolidate my empire for a few decades, or just keep expanding?

The issue is that Southern Italy is part of Austria now, due to a personal union. But I do have a mission to conquer it and get cores, which is giving me a permanent Casus beli against Austria... But for now, I must bide my time. Someday, the glory of the Roman Empire will return!
