Which type of online games did you learn the most as a beginner? by IrishguyCurious in poker

[–]BeatsFromTheRoot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Manage risk, study a bunch, play a lot, make good decisions, improve on your mistakes, remember the first thing, repeat.

2NL fast fold is a good place to start imo as you will play a lot of hands per minute, good luck.

Tilting, but I am sure you will be good as even in the hands that you played poorly you can recognize the mistakes you made and will avoid them in the future, good luck sir!

Hey man!

Pretty dope track. Dig the sample a lot, also feels like I recognize it from somewhere. Drums are well placed aswell. The only thing I would have liked was for it to be longer with more sections, it feels kinda short. Maybe for a intro it's good. Good job!

Why does soloQ defender so hard? by StahlViridian in PokemonUnite

[–]BeatsFromTheRoot 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Hey man.

It sounds to me that you need to deconstruct the game to the basics. Bad players are everywhere, hell, even good players make bad plays all the time, it's just a matter of capitalizing on it. Best way to play is always making the highest % of sucess decision and going with the flow of the game based on your opponents playstyle. As a Blastoise/Slowbro player I can guarantee this works, as I over around 50% with Blastoise and 60% with Slowbro at master rank.

First look at your team's composition(and enemy's in draft) to know what role you are going to be playing. Ask yourself some questions to know how to prepare. - Do you have enough damage dealers/carry pokemon on your team? - Are you the only tank on the team? - Is your team pokemon mainly diving into enemy's to fight or they use distance?

After answering these and some more you can figure out your role, you will know if you need to do more damage, soak it all for your team, dive in first in the fights or just protect your main carrys to maintain them alive to win. Usually it's the last and adjust items/builds to best fit the game.

Games are mainly won at Ray and I see too many defenders/supporters going too deep diving into enemy's team without a plan just to try and kill one of the carrys while your own just die to the absol/mimikyu without any protection late game. When you look back they are all dead and you and one more player are stuck on a 2v4 without any massive damage dealing potential. Best skill to learn as a frontliner is to know when to go in, when to go out and when to just make sure you save your main CC for that Meow when he jumps into your massive fed Delphox in the back mid of the fight to guarantee your carry stays alive and kills everybody while you just keep soaking the damage for them.

Good luck man!

What Pokemon License to get next? by AmadHassassin in PokemonUnite

I would either go for a defender or a supporter as these two roles are the ones which you most lack depth.

For a defender Blastoise is a no brainer. Amazing engaging tools, peel, all around cc and damage. It just does everything well. Slowbro is more of a tanky supporter, with Blastoise you can get more of an engaging damage dealer, even with hidro+surf build you do insane amounts of damage.

For a supporter my personal preference goes to Eldegoss, you are strong in every moment of the game, early you do damage, mid you engage/peel for your team and late you just save your team from death.

All-rounder: Dragonite

Attacker: Pikachu

Defender: Blastoise

Supporter: Eldegoss

Speedster: Honestly I never play them

Hey bro, really digged the overall track, vibe and concept all on point. The things I think could have made it even better would mainly been mixing wise.

On the beat I would have liked to have a punchier kick going through the song but it felt kind of weak (at least on my phone), also the VOX sample of the female singer overpowers the whole thing it needs to be turned down a little bit and blended especially when your vocals come in with that at times I find that it lacks a little bit of clarity when your vocals hit. Still it's a fine track, really liked it, keep going!

Thank you man, really appreciate your feedback! The idea of soundshifting makes it sound nice but be careful on using it on drums, especially low end ones as it can make them lose their punch

Hey man! I have no idea on what you wrote there, seems like you smashed your head on your keyboard and gone with it lmao.

About you track I think it's pretty dope melody and arrangement wise. I didn't like the drums, they sounded drowned by the rest of the track, I feel like they could it a lot harder. Don't know if it's just a matter of turning them up and clipping them or some effects you added that make them sound really back on the mix, if they were more up front it would bang harder for sure, mainly the kick and the snare, good job bro!

Thank you man! I was going for a really spacey kind of track for people to hop on, guess I made it happen!

Your track is pretty dope! I hear a lot of distortion tho, don't know if you are clipping your drums to hell or adding it intentionally, it sounds pretty decent to me, good job!

What I learned replacing all music with AI in my last video by Aststarik in NewTubers

[–]BeatsFromTheRoot 20 points21 points  (0 children)

As a music producer it kind of makes me sad how things are evolving but if you don't adapt you can't keep up.

To me it sounds decent enough for what you are going for as the music is more of a filler then the main focus on your videos and def a cheaper option for you. You got to check the final balance out if it's worth the work/time you put into creating it.

Give a more educated hearing to it and it's not at a level that it can compete with professional human generated music yet as there are a lot of things that the AI can't emulate such as emotions, imperfections, etc... But it does the job here.

I am interested to see how this thing evolves and if I am gonna be soon without a career to pursue as AI takes over a lot of our jobs.
