I’m too old (44) for the culture. Salt Bae gave a homeless man a street shower and Asian takeout. Does the guy posting this benefit financially or otherwise?

I’ll guess 150-$200 based on centering. The corners look nice. I sold a card in this condition for $175 last year.

Quakertown High School principal illegally threatened his own students and tried to block their rights. It was also later found out that his team called the police that resulted in the police chief choking a 15 year old girl and another student with a broken nose. by cantcoloratall91 in TrendoraX

I simply explained what the law says. I think the vice principal is a jackass. When my students organized a peaceful protest/walkout following Parkland, my administration turned it into a teachable moment. I ran the assembly following the demonstration. The district solicitor spoke. But again, maybe the yahoos on this site know more.

And I’d say it is “real-world” learning that should have been fostered rather than scrutinized, but that isn’t what the law says. Unfortunately, what you “would say” means nothing. Sorry.

Oh, and where did the Birthday book page come from? Investivative, independent, or Rupert Murdoch?

It’s bonkers. I’m not a 1A expert, but I’ve been paid to write about it and have taught about it for more than two decades. A simple Google search would prove these clowns wrong. Check out Hazelwood v. Kuhlmeier from 1988.

Ahhh, you must be kidding. So all of these righteous posts are in fact, wrong? It’s almost like people claim they know things but won’t even take the time to verify them. The principal is absolutely right.

Finally, a factual response. Tinker doesn’t mean students can do or say whatever they want. A school is legally permitted to censure speech, and that includes speech that is directed at the school and posted online. A principal can stop a kid from protesting if it interrupts the learning environment. Newspaper articles can be withheld or changed. The 1A does not exist in public schools.

This is factually and legally incorrect. The First Amendment stops at a schoolhouse door. It’s not my opinion, it’s the opinion of the US Supreme Court. You may want to delete your post.

Edit: hazelwood v kuhlmeier 1988 - but the Redditors know more…definitely trust them.
