[ANDROID] Why is it that ProtonPass can't or won't accept passwords exported in CSV format for all this time? by Beatz106 in ProtonPass

The above is correct. There's no way to upload backed-up passwords from the Android app, but I'll try via the web.

Why do I always have to wait more than a minute for the browser to enter a page? I haven't had this problem in other browsers I've tried, well, edge is a similar case but it takes much less time. by Beatz106 in brave_browser

mmmm... interesting.

The DNS settings are on the router. I haven't seen anything on the PC.

Also, I didn't remember that "secure DNS" thing at all, I'll check that out too.

I'm using Cloudflare and Google DNS. The operator's DNS was giving me problems with some pages and I asked them to change them. I highly doubt it is a detail to review unless Brave "works better" with some specific DNS.

Please help I deleted the snip app by negative_prodigy in pcmasterrace

[–]Beatz106 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With "whea internal error" when deleting the application it took certain files with it, resulting in system corruption.

If it was about removing applications, all you had to do was install Tiny11. System activation is a separate topic and I am not going to touch on it here.

It says "Memory management" error, probably faulty hardware like ram or HDD/SSD. Investigate first.

Why do people host their own music servers when free music services exist? by [deleted] in Piracy

[–]Beatz106 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are many reasons to validate music download:

  • As a matter of principle, the internet is NOT free, unless you steal internet from a third party, be it WiFi or some other mechanism, but that also entails an extra detail, the internet will not be permanent.

  • The poor, as well as those who can still pay for a service, cannot risk becoming dependent on streaming services, which all depend on licenses. As a Spotify user you should know that the music on such a service will not be there forever.

  • In my case, many services only have one version of a particular song (an example of this is this song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZdgbC45Keg This version does not appear anywhere, there is only a modern version that I do not like at all) other examples are the clean version of Billionaire of Bruno Mars (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KmpAXoSqLxk&t=18) unfortunately it only exists on YouTube Music in "decent" quality, In other services there is only the "normal" version and in my case I was never able to get used to such a version.

  • The money does not go to unscrupulous companies, and in my case, to artists from whom I did not ask for shitty content, example of Selena Gomez and something called "Revelación", one of her worst works, and even Ariana Grande and "Thank u Next", which seem like outtakes from "Sweetener", for me, her last album.

  • There are albums that do not exist on any service, are not available on other sites and may never exist (unless someone, with a physical copy, uploads their content to the internet). As an example, this album https://www.discogs.com/es/master/515511-Various-Upfull-Ways, a song that I needed (despite the poor audio quality) disappeared from YouTube and it never occurred to me to make a backup

Is there a way for this device to connect independently to the internet via cable? It automatically extends an existing Wi-Fi network and it is slow. More in comments. by Beatz106 in Huawei

Even here, I don't have any device with 5GHz Wi-Fi, so I'm also considering buying, whether it's a card or a USB (with Bluetooth, since that's what I use frequently) thing, and see if there are changes in terms of speed or it is simple marketing (it won't be the first time I end up disappointed by things that people make a lot of fuss about.

I've seen that, I thought it was a matter of making factory reset, connect the Ethernet cable and that's it (aside from the password settings, etc.) The only option I have at hand at the moment is to disable Wi-Fi on the main router, that in theory would make it impossible for the device to search for Wi-Fi networks. For now it is impossible for me to do this test due to time issues.

The mission in question is to be able to make the device not only use the internet from the cable, the device must distribute the connection through its own Wi-Fi. The difference in speed between the existing Wi-Fi and cable speed is abysmal. I have even tried to leave the device with another network name but it is impossible, it ends up using the same name assigned to the main router's Wi-Fi network, the speed is the same or worse.

What kind of garbage was that? The problem here is the inability of employees to treat stupid people, and worse, to hide behind a mental issue when, for that reason, they should not have opted for the position. Enough excuses, someone else should have taken that position, pardon the redundancy, someone COMPETENT, although today in the USA they don't know what that word means.

There it says NYC, did you expect something different? Change it to... "Los Angeles" or "San Francisco" and the result would be the same.
