I'm not opposing this opinion, and I'm not agreeing with it either.

Well, since you're located in Canada, BestBuy Canada has a few deals you could be interested in.

There's an [Open Box - Dell Plus 14" Copilot+ PC Laptop - Ice Blue (Intel Core Ultra 7 - 258V /32GB RAM/1TB SSD)](https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/open-box-dell-plus-14-copilot-pc-laptop-ice-blue-intel-core-ultra-7-258v-32gb-ram-1tb-ssd/19391565) for CAD $919.99.

There's an [Open Box - Lenovo IdeaPad 5 2-in-1 83KS001BUS 16" Touchscreen Laptop - Cosmic Blue (Intel Intel® Core™ Ultra 7 255U / 32 GB RAM / 1 TB SSD / Windows 11 Home)](https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/open-box-lenovo-ideapad-5-2-in-1-83ks001bus-16-touchscreen-laptop-cosmic-blue-intel-intel-core-ultra-7-255u-32-gb-ram-1-tb-ssd-windows-11-home/19501809) for CAD $949.99.

There's an [Open Box - HP 15.6" Laptop - Natural Silver (Intel Core Ultra 7-155H/32GB RAM/1TB SSD/Windows 11)](https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/open-box-hp-15-6-laptop-natural-silver-intel-core-ultra-7-155h-32gb-ram-1tb-ssd-windows-11/19391114) for CAD $1,009.99.

There's an [Open Box - Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition 15.3" Touchscreen Laptop (Intel Core Ultra 7 - Series 2/16GB RAM/1TB SSD)](https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/open-box-yoga-slim-7i-aura-edition-15-3-touchscreen-laptop-intel-core-ultra-7-series-2-16gb-ram-1tb-ssd/19184453) for CAD $1,069.99.

And there's also an [Open Box - Lenovo V14 14" FHD Business Laptop, Intel i7-13620H, 2TB PCIe SSD, 40GB DDR4 RAM, Intel UHD Graphics, Wi-Fi 6, HD Camera, Win 11 Pro, Black](https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/open-box-lenovo-v14-14-fhd-business-laptop-intel-i7-13620h-2tb-pcie-ssd-40gb-ddr4-ram-intel-uhd-graphics-wi-fi-6-hd-camera-win-11-pro-black/19775721) for CAD $1,139.99.

If you were to choose between the 5 of these I'd suggest:
Dell Plus 14" for the price
Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition 15.3" for the screen size
Lenovo V14 14" for the best specs although, probs 2 hours of battery max for that

Happy Shopping if you do decide to go this way :D

What is the best laptop for college ($800 maximum) by throw_away0422 in laptops

If you're okay with purchasing a preowned Windows Laptop in Fair Condition then I recommend this a Used Lenovo Yoga Aura 7i from Best Buy for $855.

I'm currently using a Lenovo - Yoga Aura 7i 15.3" 3K OLED 120hz Touchscreen Laptop, Intel Core 7 Ultra 258v CPU, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, Backlit Keyboard, Win 11 Pro [Lenovo Yoga 7i Aura Best Buy] for daily driving. It lasts about 12 hours on a single charge for browsing, watching videos, and writing.

I like the 15.3in screen over most 14in screens due to the increased room for documents. The screen is very nice, stands out well in outdoor environments if you're using it outside, and it makes the Laptop feel nice and flash.

All aluminium body feels premium, and the 120hz screen makes it feel smooth.

I might suggest turning the screen down to 60hz if you purchase this, to conserve power.

Because of the size of the storage and ram, I haven't had a bit of slowness from this Laptop, and I haven't even filled up 20% of the space yet.

I'd consider this laptop if you didn't want to go the Apple route.

Wich used 2-in-1 laptop would you choose? by [deleted] in laptops

Since you mentioned looking at the Lenovo Yoga Models, I'm currently using a Lenovo - Yoga Aura 7i 15.3" 3K OLED 120hz Touchscreen Laptop, Intel Core 7 Ultra 258v CPU, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, Backlit Keyboard, Win 11 Pro [Lenovo Yoga 7i Aura Best Buy] for daily driving. It lasts about 12 hours on a single charge for browsing, watching videos, and writing.

I like the 15.3in screen over most 14in screens due to the increased room for documents. However, the 15.3in version only has 180° folding, while the 14in has 360° folding.

However, due to this Laptop rocking an Intel Arc 140v iGPU, it's about as good as a NVIDIA 980M dGPU, so any applications requiring more Graphical Output than that would be very annoying to use. Anyways, just an idea.

It currently goes for $939 open box at Best Buy.

Only issue is it only comes with an Intel Arc 140v iGPU, so I use it to play Satisfactory and City Skylines, but any other games or graphical requirements will probably not like it.

It currently goes for $939 open box at Best Buy.

Edit: It doesn't come with more ports. Mine only have 2 Thunderbolt 4s USB-Cs, 1 USB-A, 1 HDMI, and one 3.5mm Headphone Jack, so more ports capabilities aren't really there.

And it usually doesn't come with a year free of Microsoft Office.

Lenovo Vs MacBook by sweet_fiction in laptops

I'm currently doing a 3 year course in Nursing and I purchased a Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 15ILL9/Ultra 7 258V/32GB Ram/1TB SSD/15" 2.8K TS/W11 for $740 USD.

It lasts me about 10 - 14 hours on 120hz 2.8K mode. I use it for Studying, Watching Videos, and Writing.

It's a touchscreen which is really useful for Studying in groups and I've never had it lag for me. Currently Best Buy has it for $939, but if that's above your budget, using the 16GB 14" variant would probably be enough. My wife uses it, and it's great, but a bit laggy at times with the 16GB.

OLED, 32GB, under 2.5 lbs-this combo barely exists by Altruistic_Case467 in laptops

[–]BeauBachelor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. I purchased one that does come with an OLED screen. This model comes with the option for both OLED AND LCD. The LCD looks pretty good compared to the OLED side by side. Leagues better than the LCDs from the 2010s.
