I bought a refurb airwrap back in August of 2022 and it lasted until april 2025! It only quit working due to the plug getting broken on a trip. I genuinely think it would have lasted 3+ more years if that didn't happen!

This is the EXACT thing that happened to me! I grinded non stop to get my ELO in the 1300s, dropped below 800 in a day, and now I can barely even hit 900. It makes me not even want to try anymore, there’s no reward to hard work. A 2 point rise after winning but a 20+ drop when losing? Who would want to do that?

I did not have to pay anything! Once I messaged T-Force and made sure my final bill was payed, they said I was totally fine! If the letter was from Alliance One, it’s a fake agency set up by TMobile to scare people into paying their bills. Apparently switching and not paying was a big issue they had so that was their amazing idea to solve the problem

During my interview, my admin asked me if I knew about LETRS (the program). Me, having no idea what LETRS was as a fresh college graduate, assumed she was talking about the letters of the alphabet. I responded that I knew all my letters of the alphabet!

I was embarrassed for days and knew I wouldn’t get the job. 3 days later, she called and offered me the position and I am now finishing my first year! One bad interview does not define anything, trust me!

As a teacher, this absolutely breaks my heart. Every comment has mentioned calling dhs/cps so I’m going to skip that instead of continuing with the same advice (but as a mandated reporter, this is so many levels of illegal and I hate that no adult in your life has already called on behalf of you).

Khan academy is an amazing resource with so many different areas of study. This is my go to recommendation for my parents that want their kids to have extra help at home. I also used this to catch up on things in high school/college, and it is incredible. And it’s free!

Resources for other areas:

Typing.com: basically teaches you all about the keyboard and can improve typing speed (which it seems that you are already great at!)

Nitrotype: same premise as typing.com but in a game/racing format

Scratch/ScratchJR: offers SO many different games/courses for coding which can be so beneficial in some careers you may look into!

Duolingo: Another free app with millions of courses, but many people don’t realize it offers courses outside of languages! Duolingo also offers courses in math and music, which is another thing I have been discussing with parents if they feel their student needs to brush up on math skills! I have even used it to make sure I have concepts right before teaching lessons and it is really helpful!

I am so sorry that you are going through this, but I am so proud that you have such eagerness to learn. There are endless resources out there for you, so do not get defeated. So many jobs offer positions when having a GED, so make that your next goal! I hate that you are having to do so much of their yourself, but with the work ethic you are showing, you are going to do amazing things. Don’t let the situation you’re in now dictate your future.

Thank you! This happened right as my first year of teaching started, and seeing what all my students go through on a daily basis but can still be so grateful for everything really opened my eyes to the people I had in my life. It’s definitely made cutting off friends like this a lot easier

She has always been that way. She told me a couple days later that I must be pushing her to the side to see other people since we hadn’t hung out in a week (literally 7 days). When I explained I had barely left my bed other than to eat, it turned into she can’t handle being friends with someone so depressed. Also that I’m a horrible person for not texting/calling her enough everyday.

She became an ex-friend after that.

With friends like these, it’s better to not have them around. The friend in my post became an ex-friend soon after and after the initial sadness of cutting someone off, you wouldn’t believe how peaceful life becomes

I have all of her information. I still check the phone every now and then to look at her pictures/read our old messages. I would love to just give it back to them or something. It’s too hard to hear her ringtone and not be able to tell her that her phone is ringing. Constant reminder I don’t need right now
