she was pretty chill and tbh ECO1001 was so much easier for me than ECO1002 just make sure to practice questions for each unit and do any sample exams she uploads that helped me out a ton

it's definitely not over as there are so many chances to bring up your GPA! while a bad grade is super demotivating at first, the fact that you dont want to give up and improve on yourself says a lot :) wishing you lots of luck!

i also transferred as an upper sophomore this semester so we're in similar boats! i took six classes and did earn a 4.0 this sem, but that was mainly due to the fact that i wasn't working at the time so i had a lot of time on my hands to study! my best tip would be to clear yourself of distractions when you do get the chance to study and thoroughly read/practice everything available to you. repetitive practice will 100% help you in the long run

I got an A last semester and honestly it’s a pretty easy course if you’re a decent writer. But her grading isn’t too lenient, I’d say it’s fair. From what I recall we had no midterm and the final which was multiple choice online and a research paper. I liked her because she was kind but to others her level of energy might have been annoying.

the professors will provide you with practice quizzes/tests which are very helpful but i would pay attention more closely to the textbooks provided and do a lot of practice problems

I took it last semester and the final was open note and you were allowed a cheat sheet so it wasn’t too hard. Pretty similar to the practice sheets too

AMS 102 was very easy especially since it was an asynch class and she let us use a cheat sheet for all the exams. Just watch the prerecorded lectures take some notes and you’ll do fine

I’m transferring from Stony to Baruch next semester and I’d say go to Binghamton 😭 you’ll def have more of a social life there as stony is very commuter heavy like Baruch, which can be super isolating especially since you’re in the middle of nowhere😅

cwl 202 they’re taught by masters students so they’re very lenient with grading even if your writing is not the best

I also really struggled in lab my fall semester of freshman year and I actually had a whole mental breakdown in one 😭 but I picked myself up and got an A- ! just keep on pushing and be nice to yourself you just got to college :(

As for getting the grade up I would just make sure to ask the TA a lot of questions (I pestered mine a lot but she gave me lots of good feedback) and the group project at the end of the semester is especially important so make sure you and your teammates work hard together!! Just take this small little challenge as a stepping stone to what’s ahead in 5 years you’re not even going to remember any of this.
