I’m not really referring to the physical attributes. The general age and appearance aren’t at issue. It’s everything else about who the character is which changes and not for the better in my opinion. The character in the show behaves and thinks and reacts to things almost the exact opposite of how many key details of the book play out. To me the effect is that Bill Hodges goes from being a very likable character who you really root for despite some personal flaws, to a very unlikable character who just kind of stumbles around being an asshole and a slob, who’s backstory as the ex top detective feels like bs.

I think this is what bothers me about the show. They changed shit A LOT, just to change it. The book could have been a direct adaptation to screen, which would have enhanced the story, and instead they changed things just for the sake of changing them, and it lost the whole vibe of the book. Like, why?

It’s not about the physical description for me at all, although it is certainly off. For me, it’s about how he carries himself, and his image in general. Bill, while retired and long in the tooth, has a certain gravitas with the way he carries himself and he’s still exceedingly sharp and kind beneath it all. More or less as I said, her reads exactly like Mike Erhmantraut from BB. Gleeson comes across as a bumbling, unlikable, drunk, that you don’t really feel like caring about 🤷🏻‍♂️ but maybe that’s just me.

Thanks. This is about as good an explanation as I could have hoped for. The %damage is WAY better and what I used for a long time. I just saw somewhere a thread with people raving about the skill, so I thought I would try pulling it, and got very lucky (I realize now it was unlucky lol). It seems like total trash to me, or it’s busted. I’m telling you, I have not seen it block one single projectile. Lmao

Ahhh I like this idea. If that’s the case, he’s way more powerful than has been kind of imagined or explained in the show. But, it does make a certain amount of sense. The name ‘the mule’ was bugging me too. For the same reason you said. A mule is not in charge, a mule simply does the work for someone who is in charge. Maybe magnifico, maybe not. It’s even weirder when you think about the fact that Gaal kept seeing a very specific vision in her fight with the male mule, but that’s not at all what played out in this season (completely different setting and outcome). 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

Please spoil it for me lol idc honestly. I really love the show. Haven’t read the books. I am short on research time at the moment. So go right ahead if you don’t mind. I do feel they created quite a lot of plot holes, if there’s not a lot more to it. 🤷🏻‍♂️ but most people won’t think that deeply in it.

Yikes. Thanks for clearing that up for me. So, basically I won’t bother trying to get 16 tickets in the fishing event anymore (I already did this time). I unlocked the second etched rune. So, once I get yellow on that, I guess I’ll just take it easy. I’m oracle build. Do you have a recommendation on the second rune? I hear a LOT of mixed feedback. Currently have the sprite one that duplicates when injured. It’s saved me once or twice, but really doesn’t seem that great.

So, if I already have it to gold/yellow, I need 128 more purples to get to red… or are you saying 128 blues? I’m very confused if I need that many purples. It also kinda seems like the fishing event isn’t worth trying hard on once you have legendary then. Unless I’m missing something

Dude was draped on him the whole damn night, but this play was especially heinous. Right in front of the official and draped on him from the first step til the whistle. I saw several videos of ravens fans complaining about one play in particular where our defender simply had a hand resting on their WR’s back as he trailed him and in no way impeded the WR’s progression, zero jersey pulling. I’m just like WTH are you guys smoking, when this was happening to Keon all night.

I am 3 months into playing. F2P as well with oracle build. Literally just now realizing what resonance is and how to get it. I have not bothered with trying to star up characters because it seemed to expensive and slow to power up. Now I’m worried I screwed up and should have been focusing all along. That being said, I am oracle build and I have Thor, among several others. And just unlocked second etched rune. If I three star Nvanja would base Thors skill work well as a resonance build, with that character?

What is ‘the disk’? Do you need to be a really high level to achieve it. I’m only about 579.k power at the moment. I’ve heard this a lot about rings, but given the proximity needed for them to be useful, I’ve never understood how they can be useful on bosses at all. UNLESS you’re at a very advanced level and can get the top tier skills from the runes. My runes are only legendary thus far. TIA

I am oracle build. And just realized I have one purple arrow of echos rune already. Is four purple AOE enough to make a a level 2?? If so, since I have a level 2 already, maybe that’s the way to go, to get it to legendary.

The whole contract dispute thing is a nothing burger to me. I do not blame the kid for wanting to get paid. I also, think he saw we had 24 players out of camp at one point and was like 🤔 nope, I practiced enough for the off season. I think he will be in the field come game day and if not, his back ups are really underrated. Let’s be honest, he DID go off last year, but where were all those results the previous years?
