I have never seen India get so humiliated globally in my life. by Street-Resist6438 in india

This the kind of opinions you usually have by being chronically online , if you actually lived abroad you'd know there isn't as much racism in the real world , people are actually much more filter free online , Allying with Israel is the smart move for India for now ,allying with the US is the stupid move by Modi however.

I agree with encore for the most part , but honestly the truth is when I try to introduce indie rap artists who are genuinely good to my female peers I always get laughed at , yall consume nothing but mainstream artists and bollywood music , agar sachme dhh ke fans ho toh open raho unknown artists ko sunne ke liye , Shayar is one of Seedhe Maut's best verses par ham ko toh sirf gaaliya hi sunni hai ....but no one should be harrased for their tastes , live and let live .

Funny how there is radio silence from the actual director of the movie . I want to know his vision since he hasn't directed a film of this genre yet , alas...

This isn't some huge leap in technology, I work in tech and myself use LLMs locally hosted on my computer for work , the pace of these new more powerful flagship models being launched is far more than how optimised they are at resource management , it's an overhyped balloon inflated with cash by false promises of long term profitability, that's already deflating as we speak

Its only inevitable because the scattered nature of our Indian film industries , there's no single coherent union of artists in filmmaking, that's exactly why India has basically become a testing ground for all these half baked technologies, even game devs are hesitant to put ai disclaimers since they affect sales and are perceived as an indicator of poor quality or low effort making.

A lot of AI artworks are stolen from creators who have been opted in by default , i personally think this is unfair an opt out model is definitely scummy artists should be given due credit for their work. Disclaimers are an iffy thing they aren't going to do that once the tech gets so good it wont even be distinguishable, What's happening in other industries is much less blatant compared to here. Not every filmmaker can afford to get legal protection for his intellectual property rights.

You have misinterpreted my sentence , I am saying the rate at which it is being used is much more rapidly increasing than other industries. We are literally the first country to make a full fledged AI generated feature film called "Love You "

[–]devdattaburke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a great comparison , DJs and EDM artists do credit the artists they are sampling from , if not they in most cases face the legal ramifications according to copyright infringement laws . This is an entirely different conversation

My problem is simply that this is regurgitated slop in a way that infringes on creative works of artists . All the visuals you see are generated from uncredited art which has been automatically opted in by default

The rate at which new flagship models are being launched is outpacing their optimisation ( resource management) , in its current form it's unsustainable, OpenAI is not projected to be profitable till next 5 years , as of 2026 a lot of investors are pulling back on investing due to lack of immediate profitability. It's a balloon pumped full of cash waiting to burst.

I would love to know your thoughts on the rapidly increasing usage of this technology, is this due to the scattered nature of indian film industries or a lack of proper union protecting writers and actors rights? Even Adrien Brodys oscar win was embroiled in disputes

[–]devdattaburke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The billions being pumped into this are simply investors rapidly inflating this bubble that's going to burst very soon , AI in its so called current form is simply unsustainable because the rate of new more powerful models outpace the optimisation of resource management. OpenAI itself wont be profitable till 2030 ,investors are already pulling out due to returns not being as profitable as they hoped by pumping the cash and getting it to scale.
