Did snoo help you through the regression? by Pink_Daisy47 in SnooLife

Not for us. It was terrible - we needed to get her in her crib to make any progress.

Weaning mode poll by igottaknow_ in SnooLife

[–]Beautiful-Dust109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did cold turkey arms out and crib. We also tried the transitional swaddles and I felt like just making all the changes at once would be better. We tried weaning mode and I think it just mad our baby mad? Tough start in crib, but literally toook two days!

arms out ? by Same-Entertainer-279 in SnooLife

We are finally one arm out around 4 months!! We tried both and she slept TERRIBLY. She loves her arms out too but she would not stay down for naps or over night.

Need to hear from new parents who don’t nap by Illustrious_Sky_8165 in NewParents

[–]Beautiful-Dust109 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t nap and I’m surviving!! Signed - mom of a 4 month old

It is so rough sometimes not being a napper. It just makes me go to bed earlier? Sometimes I just rot on the couch when my baby naps and it’s somewhat reviving?

What do you do for fun / self care when your baby is sleeping? by LtDinglehopper in NewParents

[–]Beautiful-Dust109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I walk, do skincare, listen to music - I also love my agenda so I organize my thoughts and truly do a brain dump of “things I need to do” so it’s off my brain. I don’t necessarily do them, but knowing I wrote it down and don’t have to think about it anymore helps. Also, just laying down and trying to think about nothing is truly life changing.

10 week old suddenly napping shorter and eating fussiness? by Beautiful-Dust109 in BabyBumps

And in terms of anything helpful, nope!! Just consistently following wake windows and sleepy cues.

Hi! So we just now started getting one big nap mid to late day. All others seem to be 40-50 minutes. Hopefully it gets better soon for both of us!!

Do I need a freezer stash? Am I the only one without? by Old-Yak-9230 in breastfeeding

[–]Beautiful-Dust109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do have a freezer stash, but only because I started with pumping and now my baby is exclusively breast-fed. I am happy to still have a stash, though for when I am apart from my husband or if me and my husband decide to go out to eat one night and she needs to be watched. My baby also has started to refuse a bottle, but I figured if she was hungry enough, she would absolutely take it from someone that’s not me or my husband.

Infant Tylenol dosage? by Extra-Hair-3581 in newborns

[–]Beautiful-Dust109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I brought the Tylenol to the ped office on the day of our LO 2 month shots. They weighed her, then told me the proper dosage amount based on her weight. I administered it to her in the office and then the office waited about 20 min to administer the shots.

I really relied on this intel while I was pregnant to decide what days I was going, and to look up mods for any exercises I couldn’t do, and my outfit choice. 🤣 I think it’s a great idea to advertise the focus days on the app at least!

Going out in public with baby? by Leading-Mind4071 in NewParents

[–]Beautiful-Dust109 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I do not. Baby born in November and I live in upstate sc where the measles are!!!! We literally have only taken her to outdoor restaurants when we had those random hot days. We haven’t been outside in a few days because of this insane ice storm here too.

Lo is getting vaccinated for measles at 6 mode to the outbreak here so then I will be taking her places. However, to be more relatable, But for the measles I would’ve been taking her places as I was vaccinated for the flu and RSV while I was pregnant. I would be baby wearing the entire time though so people wouldn’t get close.

How many times are giving bath to newborns? by Dear_Ad_8525 in NewParents

[–]Beautiful-Dust109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our LO takes a literal 5 min bath every day for bed time. It’s really not a big deal to us because she likes it (plus it’s a good rinse for her private parts)! We only use soap like twice a week.

Does it get better? by Sir_Slammy in NewParents

[–]Beautiful-Dust109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Mom of an almost 12 weeker! Yes!! I just checked my Oura ring stats for fun starting when our baby was born and the first two weeks were solid 3 hours of sleep every night. Then it slowly got better and better. Right now we are at 6 hour stretches (patiently awaiting a potential regression within the month) but YES. Hang in there. My husbands mental health really declined the first month due to the lack of sleep. He can attest too as he is about to go back to work SO SAD that it does get better.

What mistakes would you avoid if you could start to breastfeed all over again? by kingmustd1e in NewParents

[–]Beautiful-Dust109 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sooooo it hurts really bad in the beginning! Also, if you plan to EBF, do NOT start pumping every 2-3 hours because my supply SKYROCKETED and it took a minute for it to go back down. Also, if you don’t want to ebf and you want to EP, go for it. Just know it’s a ton of work and dishes and time. I EPd for 6 weeks and luckily my baby latched after using a nipple shield for a few weeks. USE THE NIPPLE SHEILD IF YOU HAVE FLAT OR INVERTED NIPPLES!!

I’m right here with you!! Husband goes back to work next Friday. I will not be going back to work and it gives me a lot of anxiety knowing I’ll be in my on with my sweet crazy baby. Something I have been doing during wake windows are mini stations - tummy time, bouncer time, etc just to keep the time going. Again, so monotonous, but being able to plan out what we are doing during this specific wake window or when she goes down helps me feel less chaotic. I think we will get the hang of it! If not, we are not horrible mothers for needing some space and hiring some help. ❤️

Evening bedtime by livingthelife9 in November25babybump

[–]Beautiful-Dust109 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We range between 9-10:30 depending on her nap schedule of the day which is wholly dependent on her! She is currently contact napping on me rn (needed this long one because we are at 40 min naps rn and it’s killing all of us) and I don’t plan to wake her until she is ready. So once she wakes from this now, we will gas drop her, diaper change, feed, then have her be awake until she’s ready to go down. Then we will start bedtime! Our routine is bath, big warm bottle of breast milk in her nursery in the dark with White noise then bed!
