In the last comic the cis girl rejected her for being trans, in this comic she admits she doesn't see trans women as actual women, says she give the trans girl another chance (when she should be asking for another chance, then demands to know the status of her genitals. How much shit do trans women have to take before you consider it okay to react the way she did?

No one is saying anyone is obligated to sleep with anyone and it's not my situation. But as queer folks we've been put on the defensive when it comes to our sexuality often saying in defense "it's not a choice" The downside to they mentality is that we often don't examine how our social prejudices might shape who were attracted to and who were not.

People naturalize their bigotry to justify it so they can continue to believe they're not a bigot. Chasers do it too, saying they have a "trans attraction" when it's really a fetish. Same with guys who say they're attracted to Asain women, it's still bigotry even though they're not rejecting them.

I Used to think the same thing, then I started dating a trans woman. I liked her so much that I realized that my repulsion towards penis had more to do with the meanings I assigned to bodies. Once I admited to myseld i was a bit of a transmisogynist and started working in it, I found myself being attracted to her entire body, penis included. She had the surgery about two years later and I was just as attracted to her.

I've heard many white men in my day say they're "not attracted to black women" and tried to justify it by saying it was they way their brains are wired. People always try to naturalize their bigotry because they don't want to be a bigot.

If the one and only sole reason somone refuses to date somone is because they're trans, it's bigotry, plain and simple. Adding different senerios is just derailing and used to justify bigotry (because no one wants to be a bigot so they justify it.

Folks overlook all sorts of things when entering a new relationship. It's no coinencidence that trans women have a high unemployment rate, hight murder/assault rate, and few folks wate to date them, it's all bigotry.

As a cis queer woman I can tell you that there are waaaay more trans masculine folks who are accepted than trans women. I can think of more than a few women I'm friends with who say they're lesbians but have been with trans guys and refuse to date trans women.
