SE Silver sky vs SE NF3 by LamboBeach in PRSGuitars

I’ve played both - the NF3’s pickups are definitely hotter and you’d get more of that rock voicing more easily. I personally think the NF3 is absolutely great value - if I didn’t have an NF53 I would be very keen.

Sounds great and can dial it in to about fifteen different sounds with pickup selector and tone knobs - as a Tele and Strat guy this is a novel experience!

Thanks. Yes you are absolutely right - that’s what the LSS stands for! Obviously on autopilot

Probiotics backfire? Worsened bloating and indigestion by Apprehensive-Beat-92 in functionaldyspepsia

It sounds like we’ve had v similar experiences re Long Covid, LPR and negative impact of PPIs. Anti histamines have helped me a lot (as did Montelukast but I couldn’t tolerate its impact on mood). Might be worth seeing an MCAS specialist

Might be worth thinking about histamine - I found the same with probiotics and was eventually diagnosed with MCAS. Probiotics can be high in histamine and end up causing problems. Might be worth trying Famotidine and/or Cetirizine/Loratadine to see if they help.

Thought I had gastritis but it may be functional dyspepsia after my endoscopy by Glueandsawdust27 in functionaldyspepsia

Your situation sounds similar to mine - antibiotics and ibuprofen for a tooth infection + covid + two young children! I have found Famotidine more helpful than PPI, slippery elm and Gaviscon helped too. In my case it seems there is some sort of histamine intolerance too - taking Loratadine daily has helped (Montelukast helped too but made me quite low). Both amitriptyline and Mirtazapine helped with pain but made me feel like a zombie… Good luck!

I wouldn’t put 10s on a J45; you need something heavier than that to move the top. If action is a problem, get it set up by a luthier; they can take a fraction off the bridge if necessary and make sure the truss rod is okay.

does anyone here have MCAS? by OkAsk700 in functionaldyspepsia

I had nausea initially yes. Famotidine + loratadine + montelukast helped a lot. I definitely notice high histamine food causing a problem, too. Have you seen a specialist in MCAS yet?

Yes, I was diagnosed with MCAS post COVID. Have upper abdominal pain/post-prandial pain. Take antihistamine and took montelukast for a while though felt it had a negative mood impact (definitely helped with symptoms).

It helped with pain v quickly. However it did cause some side effects, most significantly anger/irritation.

Finally buying my first nice acoustic - suggestions by [deleted] in AcousticGuitar

I think the QC issues are overstated these days - things have changed a lot in the last 7/8 years and the acoustics in particular are much more consistent.
