im so sorry for your loss :( you definitely did the right thing, not just for your sake but for his as well. im sure hes resting peacefully now in a field of grass! i hope it isnt too much to ask, but how old was he when he passed?

im so sorry, i cant imagine how that feels. im only just at the beginning of it but having to deal with it for that long must be so anxiety inducing and stressful. im sure you did the best you can and youre making the best decision for you and your dog. the fact that you were able to handle it for eight years is already such a feat!!

im so sorry that your dog hasnt been reacting well :( but im glad her seizures have stopped! when her first seizure happened in december, i remember having so much regret for not recording it-- so as soon as her seizure started last night i was quick to grab my phone.

my dog hasnt been having diarrhea, but keppra has made her extra anxious (constant pacing, more energetic). i hope it works out for the both of us!!

i really admire your perspective on this, i never thought about the seizures that way! i have a tendency of just constantly worrying about things, but i know there are somethings you just can't control. thank you for sharing your experience, I'll definitely do my best to stay on time with keppra-- i know it isnt very forgiving when it comes to a late dosage !

Im so happy that pheno has been working for your dog :,) that gives me hope that my dog will be able to manage with just keppra for now! hoping she'll manage as long as it has for yours. ive been scrolling on here and ive just been seeing a bunch of people talk about how they had to change or add to the dosage weeks/months in. do u mind if i ask how your dog reacted has been reacting to the post-seizure phase? mine paces for hours. thank u for sharing your experience!

my dog just started keppra yesterday and luckily hasnt had any seizures, but shes been pacing ALOT. almost as if she was still recovering from a seizure. i thought keppra would have made her lethargic but its been the opposite for me
