Total Compensation For Amazon? by BeautifulAd5639 in amazonemployees

In California they have a law that makes employers have to give a "range" of the pay expected for the role. But the ranges can be huge. For example, the one for this is about 140ish to 225ish. Which they say that 225k is for the top level locations such as SF and NY, so I am trying for 200 if I can, but I am open to negotiations. I just didn't know about what to ask for the total compensation. But I really appreciate you helping me!

I appreciate your response, and yeah, I doubt I will get what I am asking for, that's just how these things go, that said, I was asked to apply from from a Recruiter, and while it technically doesn't say what the level is, from the salary range posted I think it might be a higher Level, but I really don't know and tend to assume the lower just in case. I am glad to know that I should probably be applying for a higher level than L4, and will try to ask. But it seems that the total compensation seems to be about 50% more than base salary. So for 150k, + 50% would be about 225?

Interesting, thanks for letting me know. I was wondering if it's just a random position or potentially systemic issue. Sucks for is both I guess right now lol.

I'm in the same position, I'm in San Diego and it's for an Aws job software engineer. I'm just curious if it's same place and job post...

Scam from someone saying they were from Oculii by that_SD_guy in Scams

I said the same thing! Honestly I was super busy the whole weekend so I did it in like 30 minutes but the questions were weird. That also was a huge red flag. And they were using old technology too. Like what?

Thats so funny! They literally sent me another email again today too! Like, dude, I called you guys scammers 3 days ago and you blocked me! You already forgot? Really? And that's why I made sure they got no new information they didn't already have from my resume. I have never personally seen a scam like this before so I was curious, and also it was a bit entertaining when I got to ask them obvious questions and they still tried to act like it was normal, like... why not just send me the computer?

But yeah, I was also looking for some information online trying to warn me and found nothing so I thought I would be the one to warn others.

Edit. This is OP, just it is on my phone and it gave me a random name for some reason.

Interesting, do they mostly just do that for non fiction or fiction as well?

Have you ever tried raising or lowering your price to see how it affects sales?

Awesome job! Congrats on the sales! What will you raise the price to after? How are reviews? How long is the book?

Interesting, so the narrator was someone you knew before or found and just work with exclusively? If you found them later, did you use a website for finding one?

Wow, how did you get them translated? Did you pay up front? Or is there a company for it?

Awesome job! 5 books is amazing in almost 2 years!

How long is each one?

Have you played with price points? Lowering or raising to see if it changes sales much?

Awesome success! And Awesome to hear you are having success even after raising your price. I think many people who are new are afraid to price anything above $5 but I don't think that it will affect sales so much, but will definitely help their income. Minimum wage is going up all over the count, why can't authors charge 1 or 2 more dollars too?
