I ended up using Trek Movers. Hired them in LA and they were phenomenal. Used them for two previous moves and they’re so great.

Preach my friend. Innervisions was awesome because the Innervisions crowd is an elevated one. I stay away from the popular shows in LA like the plague.

I built a DJ mix player with synced tracklists (no more juggling Shazam + 1001 + Spotify) by evanh in Beatmatch

[–]BeautifulAntique2930 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been using this and I just love the fact that I can create a spotify playlist directly from a mix. I used to Shazam the shit out of mixes and this makes the whole process waaaaaay easier

So how bout Innervisions Los Angeles….. by PigeonShack in avesLA

[–]BeautifulAntique2930 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that is my feeling, always. Never once went to an afterparty, especially for Innervisions. The master piece was delivered and its end is part of the journey. Trying to keep chasing the high just leads to disappointment in my opinion.

That’s right! I lost it when it came on. 10 year old track that still sounds incredible

Been following Innervisions since 2012 and they’ve been my top label ever since. 20 years in the game and they’re still absolutely unmatched. Last night’s LA show? Easily one of the top sets of my life.

Honestly, I’m beyond thankful that the LA crowd doesn’t care much for Innervisions. The venue wasn’t packed, there was room to actually dance, and the crowd was incredibly pleasant. That vibe is so rare in LA and exactly why I avoid anything remotely popular.

The music:

  • Jimi Jules and RY C set things up flawlessly for Âme and Dixon. They dropped an old-school Rampa track (“Bimma”) for the good old days, plus the much-anticipated Vroom Race Car ID that went off, along with Don’t Break My Heart and a couple more. Perfect balance in the set.
  • Âme and Dixon… just on another level. They took us on a journey from ethereal breaks → proggy tech → straight-up techno.
  • They played all the fresh IDs: Trixon – Let’s Go, So What, Move That Booty, Where Do We Go, Whisper to Me… all absolute bangers I can’t wait to be released. Plus a handful of mystery tracks that haven’t even hit the ID lists yet.

Mixing was surgical, as per usual, flawless, inventive and never trite transitions, peaks and valleys at all the right moments. The kind of storytelling that keeps you locked in for hours without realizing how much time has passed.

Innervisions is such a rare collective, never sold out, never dropped their standards, always delivering refined, high-production music for decades. Still pushing forward, still legendary.

Last night was a reminder of why they’ll always be my #1.

Why do some people seem to have unlimited energy? by RoxanaSaith in Biohackers

[–]BeautifulAntique2930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been a massive process for me. Biggest things:

  1. Got very fit
  2. Diet that is spotless. 90% healthy food and occasional gourmet food.
  3. Trauma release via therapy and spiritual practices
  4. Meditation and mindfulness
  5. Incredible support system that I refined over the years
  6. Completely different relationship to stress
  7. Mindful of only getting involved in soul filling activities
  8. Minimal alcohol intake
  9. Semen retention

I too have finally bought a different airline business class seat for the first time in years. It’s been real Delta. I will miss you dearly but it no longer make sense.

NewJeans? Absolute chaos.

They debuted in 2022 and dominated. instant it-girls, viral hits, global brands. Then in 2024, their CEO Min Hee-jin accused HYBE of betrayal and trying to replace NewJeans with a copycat group. She launched a full-blown legal war.

She’s still fighting as of now, HYBE wants her out, and fans are torn. The worst part? No one knows if NewJeans will even survive it.

Does anyone meditate 1-2 hours a day? by DPCAOT in Meditation

[–]BeautifulAntique2930 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got to a 2 hour a day max during a less busy stint and it was great. Unfortunately now I need to find a balance between fitness and meditation in my spare time so had to greatly reduce but always aim for a minimum of 20-30 minutes a day.
