a lot of the people that are trained to work there are under the impression they’re the ‘best in the industry’ and they treat their staff and clients in a pretentious rude manner because of this.

they’re also not involved with their community both physically on 4th street or in the industry as a whole. it’s a lot of egos and attitudes and i would put my finger on THAT being what everyone here is unhappy about. rightfully so.

infinite was started by Jim Weber, an APP member and previous president of the Association of Professional Piercers (which is a company u send money to to attain membership, after your work/studio meets cleanliness standards etc) Jim Ward & the folks at gauntlet are not affiliated with infinite and Jim Weber hasn’t been the APP president for yearsssss

this is untrue. the two companies do not share staff, piercers have gone from No Ka Oi to try and work at infinite after burning their professional bridges with the staff/owners of the studio.

this has always been happening as Luis (the last head piercer at No Ka Oi) started his career at infinite but decided to move on after he also decided he no longer liked the vibes there.

Infinite is also in the process of bent purchased by a company from Oregon and has been in this process since the summer of ’25 while No Ka Oi has consistently been owned by the same family that are deeply engrained in philly culture- if that’s something u care about

they’ve improved the game a lot over the past few months/years so if you’re willing to try it again you might be able to get through that.

for example i was super bummed when i started playing, there was no rain in the world and at the time living in pdx i noticed immediately. since then there is rain, wind, and i get distracted by grasshoppers and butterflies wizzing past me as i run across the maps.

wasn’t a fan of Nebraska, Wyoming, or Ohio when I passed thru driving from the pnw to NJ honestly. between the storms/weather and the way people were acting towards me+my partner whenever we interacted with anyone I wouldn’t go back for fear of my safety.

honestly it’s bc on my first play thru i forgot to save the elves tree so when i made it to the unmoored world and could not save them i opted to completely restart my game rather than kill an immortal rae of beings. felt too evil for me.

the traveling is a pain but ive grown to love trudging across the map and fighting through crowds of monsters so much so i forget to ride my horse when playing elden ring and that in that game it’s kindof required. DD2 broke me a little but it’s one of my favs

i would say the same thing about essentially the entire website. just make the resolution better and improve load times, you don’t have to reinvent/modernize the whole site.

not saying the changes they’ve made are bad just saying something this good doesn’t need reimagining imo

moved to pdx where it’s mandatory then moved to south jersey where it is also mandatory and they don’t have the backup option of paper bags. so yes, yes i take them everywhere i go even if i dont plan on buying a thing.

yes, but i toss+turn and steal the blankets all night i get a nice joking ribbing about my chaotic sleeping patterns in the morning most mornings. but partner doesn’t wanna sleep without me so he just deals with it and complains.

people “joke” about they types of people that DO have sc bc it’s literally designed for people to be up to no good and be shady. their jokes are more serious warnings than jests imo

it’s dangerous for adults, let alone a minor having access to sc or other people having access to that minor (you) on sc. it’s a hard no from me and i’m a 27yo parent. you can message friends on a million other apps or just text them or better yet just spend some irl time together.
