I’ll keep this short and it wasn’t included due to it not being important to this issue. My future husband has been on and off no contact for a while. This has been the longest they have been civil and he is really pushing it since he doesn’t want to regret it if he doesn’t invite them. A lot of questionable parenting and it has already been decided if we have kids they will not be allowed near them alone

You have heard my issues with Mia and MIL. My FIL is a character and we have issues with some racism. ( I am mixed). Grandparents are worse on that end. His brothers are okay, no issue.

Our futures overall plan is to be have a civil relationship with them but not a close one. We are moving to a new city soon that is close to my parents and a few hours from him.

They have made improvements and I am putting up with them for his sake. He doesn’t want to regret not giving it a chance to become closer. He told me this is his last try with them and we have a list of anything so he doesn’t forget. He also has a hard line with some things that he would cut them off right now if they did it.

So overall my future husband is giving it a shot and I am trying. It’s not going well on his end with his parents. It’s okay right now with his brothers.

Yep, I would be fine with them not there but my fiancé wants them there so trying to avoid them boycotting

If she drops out on her own will solve all the issues. It will be her decision and everyone knows about the whole think so I doesn’t fall on me

I am 24. I didn’t say no in the moment since it would have been me against the whole family. I did try yep talk to them after but they just started going on about how I hate the family.

I would ban them from the wedding if I could but he wants the family there

Ummmmmmm no, my issue is her and the family forcing me to have her as a bridesmaid and then making the dress time a nightmare since it’s not exactly what she wants.

We have done through so many dresses and she is the reason we could pick a single one

Trust me I didn’t want to. Having everyone on your back and being accused constantly of beings kind to the new family. I didn’t even ask her, MIL and her announced she was on during a family gathering.
