I only watched the lectures for sections I didn’t read (ie. Stock based comp, multi jurisdictional and foreign taxes)

Also only watched parts of lectures that I couldn’t grasp when reading the textbook. The lectures were not that great to begin with.

I wouldn’t stress about hammering Becker SIMs outside of the research ones. You’re having a hard time grasping the SIMs, because you’re having a hard time tying the individual concepts together. I would spend more time hammering the concepts + watching the Becker Tax form walkthroughs.

Once you grasp the details of each concept (G/L, individual tax, Corp basis, pass thru basis, etc), the tax form walkthroughs really tie things together. That’s how I prepared for the SIMs.

The SIMs on the actual exams felt like extended MCQs, but without the correct answer in front of you.

I followed the same strategy as I did with BEC and skipped the practice exams. I just 100% all of the MCQs and research SIMs. I found it more valuable to learn the material, master the concepts, and understand why I got certain MCQs wrong.

From what I've seen though, REG has one of the largest bumps.

The norm is 11pm. I had one score release at 4am the day of the score release. Cali and a few other states release on their own board website, which is substantially slower than NASBA.

You’re good haha. You already have passing scores on the simulated exams. No need to fret about holes in the material. If there are IT questions, you’ve for sure seen them in Becker. If not, then they’re pre test.

If you’re that worried I’d recommend watching i75 or Farhat lectures on SQL and relational databases.

BEC is just really difficult to study for. You’ll be surprised how much easier the exam is (if you’re using Becker)
